I have a very very noobish question...

I just got into Hetalia (literally like... the day before yesterday), and I've been enjoying it a lot, but I'd noticed that in comments both here and in other places, people refer to the countries by 'first' names like uh, Authur, and Gilbert and... Ludwig? I think.

Where do these names come from? Are they on some kind of character profiles (like those ones for Gundam Wing that tell you everything from height in cm to blood type to favorite flavor of yogurt), or are they agreed-upon fanon (like Hikaru Sulu, whose 'fanon' name was officially canonized many years after the OST series ended)?

Um, this is a long question for what is probably a very simple answer, I think. I'll just go over here now.

These tags range from fanfic & fanart of the most popular pairings, such as America & England, Germany & Italy and Russia & China, as well as moderately popular pairings such as Prussia & Hungary, France & England and Germany & Austria, to the pairings relatively under the rug such as France & Germany or Russia & Poland, threesomes such as America & England & France (as well as a U.S. & Canada & U.K. & France tag), group-centric tags such as "Soviet Union," crack pairings such as Canada & Kumajirou and China & Shinatty-chan, and a special tag for nations (...shipped with nations) not yet in Himaruya's Hetalia (can be found here, is spoken of here; not to be confused with "oc & nation-tan" tag), such as India, Ireland, Australia (...I don't think he's appeared), Scotland, ect.

Hi! I heard that there are apparently some strips where Prussia is awesome and goes all "Praise me! Hail me! On your knees!" to Hungary and gets pwned and a strip where N. Italy cooks and Germany cleans up right beside him. Can someone point me to where they can be found?
