It's 1885 in London, England, and surrounding the everyday peoples are amazing technologies, all steam driven! It is a time of wonder and oppurtunity. Never before has the common man had such access to the world. Flying ships, jetpacks, even scooters that hover off the ground! Travel has never been simpler or more efficient! However, not all things are good in Londontown. Pirates and criminals walk the streets and crime rates are high. Many times the commoner will arrive home to find that their wallet inexplicably has been emptied and they no longer have a single pound to their name!

Steampunktalia is a twitter-based AU roleplay. All of the actual roleplaying takes place on twitter and all the other stuff like applications and updates happen on Livejournal. If you're unfamiliar with Twitter, the other members of the community will be glad to help you out. Since twitter only requires short updates of 140 characters or less, this community is great for new roleplayers or for those who have trouble writing long replies like in forum based roleplays.

Hello everyone! After a few long days, the move is finished! The move started on October 30 and I’ve been putting long hours into the move; usually starting at 1 PM and finishing at 3:30 AM each day (with the exception of yesterday which was my check-up day before posting). It was long and tedious but it was worth it! The site is so much faster and I’m loving it!

As you may know, accounts couldn’t be transferred over. However, if you sign-up with your old user name that you used on ShoutWiki you’ll get your user contributions back. Once you reclaim your account, I can transfer over your user page and talk page via copypasta. I thought you couldn’t get your contributions back but it seems I was incorrect after I checked FH14’s user contributions as a test.

Again, thank you so much for being patient with us. I hope this will be the last move for us and I certainly hope you’ll keep using the site for your Hetalia needs! If you could update your bookmarks and pass the word around, that would be fantastic! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to rest my wrist. XD

This is a Hetalia land-community, sort of like the popular

hogwartsishome. You are sorted into one of the four kingdoms and participate with your fellow kingdom members to earn points towards winning the Kingdom Cup. Basically, it's all about making friends and having fun. There will be challenges, but we also accept all other fanworks done at the time for points! We just want you a) having fun and b) contributing to the Hetalia fandom somehow.

While I still have time, happy Hetalia Day! Hope everyone had an awesome celebration this weekend (or will next weekend)!

Just a quick message here: the New York City Hetalia Day group sponsored a fundraiser for UNICEF for Hetalia Day (you might remember we did this last year, too). We've had about twenty people collecting donations since August, and we counted and donated the entire amount today.

( So just how much did we raise in the name of Hetalia? )

Hetalia fans sometimes have a less-than-stellar reputation, but we were able to prove again that we are not just an obnoxious fandom, and we can make a change in the world. I am insanely proud of everyone who participated in the fundraiser, and I hope that, for next year, the coordinators of local events will consider fundraising as well. Not only is it for a fantastic cause -- providing food, medicine, and aid to needy children around the world -- but it makes you feel REALLY GOOD about yourself. :D

Edit: Oh man, what a warm reception! Thanks for all the nice words, everyone. If any of you are interested in ~~being cool and~~ starting your own Hetalia Day fundraiser next year, or for another occasion, or if you want to donate for no reason at all, check out unicef.org. Everyone reading this message has the means to help those who are less fortunate than we happen to be: let's spread the positivity and love! ♥

Hey there, everyone! It's time for the annual France/Canada Gift-a-thon! It's a lot like the fluff-a-thon, or other fanwork-a-thons, where prompts are submitted, complied into a big post, and then people are able to pick and choose what they'd like to write/draw. It's a lot more flexable than exchanges, and even if you aren't sure you'll be able to write/draw something, you can still submit prompts.
