Hey, Heartlanders! I finally bring you good news about our Hetalia Day gathering! (x-posted to my journal entry and the Facebook Event page because it just makes more sense)




Since we're down to the wire, I've had to weigh the options: so we've decided to host this year's Hetalia Day in the region at Family Fun Center, which is an arcade and party center for all of us to have a rip-roaring good time filled with pizza (yes, that's technically pasta too!), arcade games, miniature golf, lazer tag and so much more! Remember to arrive close to the time given so that we can organize the day's events--AND DON'T FORGET YOUR MONEY! Bring it so you can purchase a Wristband, which will get you a whole host of attractions and tokens to play with! (And if you can, bring a little extra in case one of our partygoers can't totally cover their costs!)

And don't forget to cosplay if you're able to! (Otherwise, wear something or bring something to indicate you're one of us!)

Also, remember to bring a camera or camcorder, and if you have one, BRING AN AMERICAN FLAG! Hetaliaday.com has heavily suggested this so that we can be featured as one of the many myriad of nations and regions on their website! So go find Old Glory--and remember that if you bring her, treat her with the utmost respect! (It's only common courtesy and good manners!)

[NaNoWriMo] Hetalia Support Group Project

I'll go ahead and preface this with the fact that you can beat me upside the head in advance for inappropriate tags or content (as my rationale for "events" might be different than the norm).  I'm a long time stalker, first time poster.

For those who don't know what NaNoWriMo is, it stands for "National Novel Writing Month" which starts on November 1st and lasts until the end of the month.  The goal is to write a novel which spans at least 50k words in that span of time. 

Is fanfiction allowed?  Why yes it is.

My proposal is to see if there's any interest in a bunch of us getting together for a Hetalia-themed flood of fanfiction, or at least to prepare a support group of some sort.  I'm doing an epic challenge myself of this style, and I thought I'd assemble a handy taskforce to see if anyone would be up for the challenge of first person fannovels for Hetalia (*winknudgeDon'tmakemefeellikeadork*), or simply one heck of a long fanfic.  NaNoWriMo is quantity over quality, of course, to reach the goal.


Edit:  Since I'm getting comments about it, nope, it doesn't have to be a first person fic.  XD  It was simply a challenge to those interested and lacking an idea.  It merely has to be Hetalia themed to participate.  But I'm happy to see Spain joining me.

I've been searching through community for something else, and stumbled upon some post with handwritten melody for Hetalia theme song Maru Kaite Chikyuu. It never occured to me before to make sheet music for Hetalia, but after I saw that post, I decided to do one.

(I'd been doing piano transcriptions before, namely for Morrowind and Oblivion, you can listen to them here on my YT channel; oh, and ignore the other videos lol)

So here it is! This is the Maru Kaite Chikyuu song, I called it 'march' here because obviously a march it is ^^' You can download it in printable PDF or Finale MUS file.

America is actually a pretty smart guy but his head is in the clouds and often it doesn't really show -- so England tries to help America take his job as a nation more seriously and improve his image with the rest of the world. Can contain references to current events, e.g. the US's current administration trying to fix international diplomatic relations. Humor and fluff appreciated, but also some seriousness please!
Summary: England helps America with an emergency rewrite of a speech -- but finds that America's learned quite a bit these last few years.

Yes, yes this is REALLY short notice. Well, I was disappointed I couldn't attend any Hetalia Day events because of my job, but then I had the thought, well, why not just bring one to my job? hur hur. :D

Where: Busch Gardens. Tampa, Florida.

When: October 24 at 11:00am. (Anyone can come earlier than that, the park opens at 9am and we can meet up with you inside the park. I get off work at 2am from Howl-o-Scream the previous day so 11 is the most realistic time I could get there. I go into makeup at 5 so you can stay until closing at 6 if you want.)

Meet: At the entrance, outside of the park, in between the nairobi gate and the main gate.

Cosplay: Busch Gardens is strict, so it would HAVE to be casual cosplay, regular clothes with wigs I'm pretty sure will be fine. Sadly, NO military uniforms or props.

Cost: Now, there is the issue with admission, but I do get benefits so anyone who doesn't have a seasonal pass just tell me and I could purchase discounted tickets for you beforehand.
