In case anyone was wondering why there wasn't an update in a few days: I think we just found out. ;)
Original blog posts 1 and 2
Translation by Hetascanlations

Long update is long, so the translation will probably take a while. Please let's all be patient.
I will add the translations once they're finished.
One thing I can already confirm: The mysterious person is indeed Portugal.
If there are any mods around, could you please make us a Portugal tag?

>I’ve seen Chu-tele kun running before

I wonder how he was running…!!

>Does a movie about steampunk American presidents really exist?

It doesn’t exist, but personally I’d like to see it.
But there is one about Lincoln battling zombies!

Mysterious notes doodled while studying Eastern European history.

Looks like hima wants to spoil us. There have been three blog updates today, two of which have already been translated.
*Eta: The translation for the third part is now up.

Original blog post 1 and translation
2 and translation
3 and translation

Note: I would prefer to actually post pictures of the translations here since their size would fit the site. However, since the people involved are also members of the fandom on Livejournal and have not posted it here, but only on tumblr, I assume there is some kind of reason for that. So I will only provide links.
For any translators reading this: Would it be okay for me/others to post future translations here directly, as long as we source? Should we refrain from posting them here? Should we ask for each individual case? I am honestly unsure what to do here.

I'm bringing to you two things today. One is the index of the Eastern Europe & Co Summer Santa Exchange. We had fanfic, fanart and a comic this time. Please have a look at the few but very neat entries, and maybe leave a short note of appreciation if you like it.

Secondly, that was the summer exchange, and that means... ta~daa~~~

Title: "The Making of 'Hidekaz Himaruya'"
Author/Artist:[livejournal.com profile] heyyl0 or heyyl0 on ff.net
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Nearly all characters, including a cameo by Himaruya. Ship teasing is included!
Rating: K+ as of now, may be raised to a T rating later on.
Genre: Comedy, Friendship, Drama
Summary: Filmmaking is a lot of hard work, and it takes a lot of patience, dedication, and sanity. Unfortunately, none of those traits can be found in a film crew entirely composed of nations making a movie based on the "absolutely true story" of a relatively unknown Japanese artist named Himaruya...
Extra Notes: Slightly AU. Watch for sheer insanity! Don't forget to leave a short review, too! :)

(And to think, it all started on a boring, blue-sky day...)

[livejournal.com profile] easterneurofunk is a prompt-based fanwork challenge centred around the Eastern Europe characters. During the month of June, those who joined up worked hard to produce fanworks focused on a wide variety of themes and exploring all kinds of different relationships between the Eastern Europe nations.

Now that the fest is over and everyone has posted their submissions, we'd like to invite everyone to enjoy the results with us. The submissions can be found here:

June 2012 Eastern Euro Funk: Master List of Fanwork

We hope you enjoy them!

Title: Dreams in Dust (links go to most recent chapter[FFN] [AO3]
Status: On-going
Author: megumitan [FFN] aka TheInternaionalAffair [AO3]
Characters: Iceland, Hong Kong, Norway, Romania, China (but I assure you practically the entre cast will make it into this fic somehow)
Rating: Teen (Profanity, Implied drug/alcohol use, intimate scenes, -very- surreal scenes)
Summary: [1900's NY AU] In the early 20th century, progress lingered on the lips of every metropolitan dreamer alike. Yet for Emil Stielsson, a recent export from Iceland, the only thing lingering on his mind is the how to find exact location of his half-brother Lukas. But as he loses himself within the cultural melting pot of New York and his mind in a mysterious young boy he finds in the dark alleyways of Chinatown, will Emil be able to climb out the The Capital of the World in order to find a world of his own?
Notes: Thank you to KahlanAislingSpyro17689 and Gnortaku for headcanons/advice <333 Also, since this is my current pet project and I love writing songs, I've been composing music to this fic while researching the time period and history that the fic is set in, and will post accompanying songs accordingly. I would also like to note here that there are some scenes that seem ambiguous, but that they're written that way to let you interpret them as you wish :) Enjoy!

And the rest of my babies! :3 )
