In case anyone was wondering why there wasn't an update in a few days: I think we just found out. ;)
Original blog posts 1 and 2
Translation by Hetascanlations

Long update is long, so the translation will probably take a while. Please let's all be patient.
I will add the translations once they're finished.
One thing I can already confirm: The mysterious person is indeed Portugal.
If there are any mods around, could you please make us a Portugal tag?

>I’ve seen Chu-tele kun running before

I wonder how he was running…!!

>Does a movie about steampunk American presidents really exist?

It doesn’t exist, but personally I’d like to see it.
But there is one about Lincoln battling zombies!

Mysterious notes doodled while studying Eastern European history.

madnakoituto eng
There's a building that still standing to this day where the spirits of the dead killed in the experiments of a certain medieval mad scientist are said to wander the halls even now, making the place a famous haunted mansion.

You hear plenty of ghost stories about the place that simply stop there, but the truly troubling part is that apparently the ghost of the mad scientist himself has been known to make appearances as well.

It's not unthinkable that this part of the story could be more frightening to the other ghosts than to the living people who see them if you consider the fact that these past victims have been stuck with this mad man ever since they died under the same roof as him.

>It seems that the first SIREN game that you said you liked is coming up on its ten-year anniversary. Please tell me your favorite character!
The teacher who hits at you with the nail hammer is so cool! I also like Abe-chan. Ten years, huh? How nice!

>What's the name of the rabbit that's now being used as Bamboo Thicket's icon?
It seems that he was originally called Fion-kun. The one at my place still doesn't have a name, so if you come up with a good one...

>I like Canada, so I've always kind of wondered about this: Are the goggles Canada wears perscription eyewear? I can't help thinking about it every time I look at him...

They're probably just regular goggles. Canada's kind and cute even to ghosts, what a nice country.

Artist: [livejournal.com profile] insomniel
Character(s) or Pairing(s): fem!France/Romania, France/Greece, France/Japan, France by himself, France/Switzerland
Rating: PG
Warnings: almost male nudity
Comments: guess it's time for my yearly Hetalia fanart update, I'm still working on the rare France pairings, plus some requests, these are all really terrible and the 2011 and 2012 entries look a lot prettier, but I'll improve for 2014, for sure.

Title: Small Hats Are Cool
Author/Artist: [livejournal.com profile] kahlanaisling
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Magic Trio
Rating: G
Warnings: abuse of marmite
Summary: Arthur Kirkland had a boring life and a boring name and tried his very best to be as boring as possible, so obviously he was the one chosen for adventure. Oneshot, crossover with Doctor Who -- but you don't need to watch it to read this.

Title: The Farthest Outreach
Author/Artist: [livejournal.com profile] kahlanaisling
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Den/Nor, Iceland
Rating: G
Warnings: none???
Summary: In the far-flung future, there are natural differences in societal, political, cultural norms. But there are always pirates, and there are always criminals, and just like families (because there are always families), these people are willing to sacrifice everything for each other. Twoshot.

FINALLY. I GOT MYSELF TO UPDATE. *ahem* Anyway, do check it out! Admittedly it's slightly weird because this particular fic is a pet project, but highly recommend! :D

Enjoy!

Title: Dreams in Dust (links go to most recent chapter[FFN] [AO3]
Status: On-going
Author: megumitan [FFN] aka TheInternaionalAffair [AO3]
Characters: Iceland, Hong Kong, Norway, Romania, China, Hungary (but I assure you practically the entre cast will make it into this fic somehow)
Rating: Teen (Profanity, Implied drug/alcohol use, intimate scenes, -very- surreal scenes)
Summary: [1900's NY AU] In the early 20th century, progress lingered on the lips of every metropolitan dreamer alike. Yet for Emil Stielsson, a recent export from Iceland, the only thing lingering on his mind is the how to find exact location of his half-brother Lukas. But as he loses himself within the cultural melting pot of New York and his mind in a mysterious young boy he finds in the dark alleyways of Chinatown, will Emil be able to climb out the The Capital of the World in order to find a world of his own?
Notes: Thank you to KahlanAislingSpyro17689 and Gnortaku for headcanons/advice <333 Also, since this is my current pet project and I love writing songs, I've been composing music to this fic while researching the time period and history that the fic is set in, and will post accompanying songs accordingly. I would also like to note here that there are some scenes that seem ambiguous, but that they're written that way to let you interpret them as you wish :) Enjoy!

More fics down here! )

I'm bringing to you two things today. One is the index of the Eastern Europe & Co Summer Santa Exchange. We had fanfic, fanart and a comic this time. Please have a look at the few but very neat entries, and maybe leave a short note of appreciation if you like it.

Secondly, that was the summer exchange, and that means... ta~daa~~~

Title: Thinking Of Me
Author: [livejournal.com profile] kahlanaisling
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Romania/Hungary (primarily), Belgium in this chapter.
Rating: T
Warnings: Making out, but nothing truly horrible.
Summary:  From arch enemies to arch-enemies-with-benefits to friends-with-benefits and finally to an extremely dysfunctional relationship (with benefits), Romania and Hungary would much rather you ignored them and minded your own damn business.
A/N   Chapter one of. . . maybe seven?  Not sure.  Romantic comedy, sort of.  How do I titles.

( This is their third Groping In The Broom Closet session in a row and Hungary is beginning to think this is getting out of hand.  )

Title: "The Making of 'Hidekaz Himaruya'"
Author/Artist:[livejournal.com profile] heyyl0 or heyyl0 on ff.net
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Nearly all characters, including a cameo by Himaruya. Ship teasing is included!
Rating: K+ as of now, may be raised to a T rating later on.
Genre: Comedy, Friendship, Drama
Summary: Filmmaking is a lot of hard work, and it takes a lot of patience, dedication, and sanity. Unfortunately, none of those traits can be found in a film crew entirely composed of nations making a movie based on the "absolutely true story" of a relatively unknown Japanese artist named Himaruya...
Extra Notes: Slightly AU. Watch for sheer insanity! Don't forget to leave a short review, too! :)

(And to think, it all started on a boring, blue-sky day...)

Title: Playground
Author/Artist: Latnien
Character(s) or Pairing(s): BulgariaxRomania; now introducing India.
Rating: M
Warnings: Swearing, mentions of discrimination and racism.
Summary: A blind boy’s life turns around when he meets a fellow immigrant, gifted at football. They will lead a secret relationship between discrimination and racism.

You can read chapter 2 here.

Title: Between Dreams and Nightmares

Author: redblonde7

Genre: Friendship/Romance/Drama

Characters/Pairing(s): England, America, Canada, Romania, Norway, USUK

Word Count: 5,293

Rating/Warnings: 15, torture (implied), suicidal thoughts

Summary: Arthur was a squib with a magical best friend. To be part of the magical world was his dream, but not at the expense of everything else. It's a shame that some people don't take no for an answer. Sequel to 'A Foolish Dream' and this will make no sense unless you've read that. Done for the 'Once Upon A Dream' prompt.

But then he would wake up and the dream would be over. And then the nightmare would begin again. )
