Scanlation time!

I figured since equivalent_t is doing the main story, I'll try to do the scanlations of the manga listed on the Hetalia timeline.

So here is the Polish-Swedish Wars manga!

Scanlated by yours truly, with help from hime1999 on page one, cuz I had problems with the receiving verb conjugation XD;

Ranting underneath, lol.


Also, just my luck that Sweden has a THICK Tohoku (North-Eastern Japan) accent.  It's really more like grunt-speak (I listen to my staff speak it), so I tried to make it sound like that...and to make matters worse, Poland has a thick Nagoya accent, which can only be described as...valley-girl-ish.  So...yeah...

Oh, and the knight Poland and Lithuania are fighting against is a Knight of the Teutonic Order, which is kinda like a predecessor to Prussia/Germany.

With the Austrian succession war and storage cleaning, this is one of my favourite strips. :3 I think you handled Sweden's Tohoku accent really nicely, too, considering what a PAIN 'grunting Japanese' can be to parse into English. XD

Sweden/Finland and Austria/Hungary seems to be the only mentally healthy couples around, relatively speaking. XD I read this webcomic where Sweden bought Sealand because Finland wanted a kid, and it's just so awwww adorable.

The description of the battle in "Krzyżacy" starts to be much more interesting (at least for me XD). Do you remember? - there was a part about Lithuania running away and then - returning right in time.

Oh, he called the retreat cuz he'd rather not have Finland fight Poland (because Fin is friends with Estonia, who is, in turn, friends with Poland). So he thinks "I wouldn't be happy if my friend wasn't happy," even though they may have won the battle.

So, yeah, I'm Finnish. I should not like Sweden, I know this, but dammit the guy is fab! Besides, I'm not against Swedish anymore (I would be glad to learn it properly someday), and thankfully its lessening, this Finland's obsession with hating Sweden. And OMGAWD, Finland it so cu~te~ <3

Huh? This strip confuses me. e___e;; When Finland criticizes Poland, is he making a reference to King Sobeiski(sp?) and the Battle of Vienna? In which case, would have made it a reference to a strategic, Polish victory against the Ottoman Empire? I mean, if Poland hadn't won that battle, Europe (debatedly) would have become an Islamic continent...

the Teutonic Knights kinda look like Prussia :D, well, Prussia is a predecessor of Teutonic Kngihts, so that explains why :D
