I like Aarin, but I worry that their reputation as a yaoi-group will cause a lot of people to assume that Hetalia is yaoi and not want to watch it.
That could be a problem :\

Aarinfantasy is like...some of the best we could have asked for with Hetalia, I think. Sweeeeet :>

...this is not really going to help the misconception that Hetalia's all about the ghey, huh XD;

I'm... in two minds.
While first and foremost I am pleased that it's getting subbed, I can't help but be perplexed that aarin's doing it since Hetalia is neither yaoi nor is it slashy to the extent of series like 'Getbackers' etc.
I'm a little worried that this might draw in a wave of yaoi fangirls. I'm fully aware that the fandom is inclined towards slash... I'm inclined towards slash, but a lot of us are in it for the history and the characters and are open to the slash as opposed to coming in purely for the gay. Whereas the girls and boys over at aarinfantasy are predominantly in it for the gay. I mean, it's a cool place, I've been there quite a lot in the past, but part of what I adore about this fandom is how intelligent it is. Writing fanfictions for this fandom is like writing a research paper, justifying who is in your fanart requires a read up on Wikipedia...
Basically, what I fear is a wave of 'omg kawaii' fangirls rambling on about how, England is like soooo kawaii and uke. etc.
Additionally, one of the first things Hetalia- haters will say is 'you're only in it to slash countries,' when that is far from the case for a lot of us. This just goes in their favour.

I have a point.

Huzzah for subbing, not so huzzah as to the new wave that might come in. Not that I am an elitist nobhead, but I don't want to see the IQ of this fandom drop because I think it's the best one I've ever experienced.
