I like Aarin, but I worry that their reputation as a yaoi-group will cause a lot of people to assume that Hetalia is yaoi and not want to watch it.

I agree, but it will also cause a lot of people to watch it BECAUSE they think it's yaoi =P And Hetalia is so extremely slashable I don't really think a homophobe could enjoy it anyway.

True. Just look at Sweden and Finland or Germany and N. Italy. Or Poland in skirt accompanied by Lithuania.

Seconding that. I also really hope that they don't take too much artistic license with the subbing and make things more shipp-y than they actually are. ('Cuz I mean, they're already pretty far out there, but still...)
