On an Aspect of the Nation-tans' Nature...

Hello, everyone. I come bearing two topics that we may had not thought of before and could prove to be interesting dicussion points.

First, seeing as our beloved Nations have human forms and therefore feel like we do (with only a touch more of burden that comes with their position, of course) then, I'd like to ask your opinion on the following: do you consider the Nations to be fertile when they "mate" with a normal  human being? (And please, let's not get into unions with other Nations, atm. That's another point altogether.)

And second, because of the somewhat mystical/unexplainable nature of their very existence, would you believe that specifically in olden times even Nations considered themselves as demi-gods or were seen by their own political figures or their people as proof of God's existence by making something so ethereal, so abstract, so artificial even like a nation or a country the epitome of realness by turning it into a tangible human being.

And what are the Nations' thoughts on this, on the meaning of their existence then or now? 


I eagerly await your thoughts on this, people.

So I'm back and this time with some updates, details, and schedule ideas. First major update is that now we have a Facebook group which can be found here. For all you planning to or wanting to attend and you have a facebook, please join! Updates will be posted there, as well as possible meet ideas, food choices, sign ups, etc. Since you have to request to join, I would like you to tell me your name (first name is fine) here or in some other manner so that I know who you are and can add you to the group when you request! But don't worry, if you don't have a facebook we will still post major information about the meet here, it's just easier to put quick stuff on Facebook and give/spread ideas etc. etc.

Secondly, here is the list of people planning to attend and items they 'signed up' for. If you are not on this list and would like to be, or can bring somthing but it isn't listed here, please tell me and I will add you/them/the item.

We don't ahve to have a 3 course meal, I just need something other than cookies or scones, as good as those things are :D Drinks also would be great~ (Dollar General has off-brand soad for, like, a buck! -is a total cheapskate- |D) If you guys would prefer, we could make a sign-up list :)

Right ~ Elkin and I worked on rescanlating a set of strips lecumedesjour_s completed -- due to a number of requests floating about, and complaints about the English used on the older scans.

So here's our remake! Pretty much there's everything from three web pages, save for the Lithuania strip because it was done by another scanlator. What is also included are the author notes, and a set of panels with American and Japan from one of the pages that strangely went untranslated. That or nisecal and I had trouble finding the scanlation.

Hetalia Day - Sydney (Update w/ confirmed time and place)

After realising how unspecific I was before, and seeing everyone's suggestions, here are the specifics for the Sydney meetup. I'm so glad so many people want to come - I realise a lot of you are doing the HSC and might not be able to make it, but even if it's only a 'maybe', it's nice to know you're interested.

When: Saturday October 24th, 12:30PM. I'm not going to say when it ends, but we'll probably be there for at least a few hours.
Where: Meeting at the Opera House steps, photoshoots in that area, and then walking to the Botanical Gardens for a picnic (and maybe some more photos)
What: Picnic! If everyone could bring something to eat/share (not necessarily from the country you're cosplaying as, especially considering that not everyone's cosplaying), or a blanket to sit on, or some kind of game to play, it'd be really good. If you do plan to bring something, let me know and I'll make a list so we don't get too much of the same thing.
