Quick note: though there isn't much out for this pairing, what there is doesn't always seem to have the...weird tension that these two nations have shared over the years. And still, even if there is/was tension, they have managed to remain on such terms as now. Also, for a time Iceland was dependent on Norway, and in a way Iceland was reared by Norway, given just who the first settlers were. Now, that is not to say that I have done any better conveying this thing, but I hope that I have managed something.

Hello hello. ^_^
Okay, I am a massive US x UK shipper, everyone who knows me will tell you that, and I've been DYING to write a fic dedicated to them but...I know I can't do them justice. Their relationship is...well, special. XD But it is SO special, SO bitter-sweet that I think any attempt I make to write for them will end up being too fluffy, too angsty or just plain WRONG.
BUT. I'm also a fan of pairing England with France and Japan, and it got me to thinking;
Normal people have quite a few relationships in their lifetime, but very few utterly meaningful ones. I'm sure, then, it must be the same for our beloved nation-tans, right?
Englands' relationship with America is, in my opinion, the destined kind. They will, eventually, figure this out.
France? A more physical, hate-hate affair. They are, after all, shared-fate nations and really...well, as much we both bitch (UK and France that is) I'm pretty sure we like eachother really.
Japan? I've often thought how similar we Brits and the Japanese are, as a nation and as people. It's hard to describe, but I'm sure many of you will know what  mean.

SO! Because I'm too humbled to write US x UK, I have prepared two fics that hopefully contrast eachother and highlight just how different each relationship is.

I'm accepting up to six people for interventions right now. BUT THERE IS A CATCH.

You need to be there on Thursday night. The panelists and I are going to be meeting up at some point on Thursday to discuss what's going on at the panel. I will be cosplaying in the Express Pass line or whatever as Keisuke from Togainu no Chi--so look for him.

We want to review everything and what we have time for.

Once again the panel is at 5PM on Saturday in Ballroom A!!

(ex. start with one and switch to another? I imagine that would be a little confusing...) What circumstances would call for using which names?

Hi guys! I'm new to the comm, though I've been lurking for awhile. AND I NEED SOME HELP LIKE WHOAAAAAA.

I'm going to Anime Boston and at the last minute, I'm putting together a Prussia cosplay. I have a jacket that's (not long enough but will have to do) and I'm going with old-type longcoat Prussia, not newer Prussia.

First question: Does anyone have a wig I could borrow/rent/buy from them? Ideally I could get it at the convention, since it's next week. Otherwise, I'm going to hide my fail! hair under my hat. But if you would be willing to mail it, that could work too. PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU DO.

Second question: Pants colors? Is gold trim on the jacket really necessary? Would you laugh to see someone failing cosplaying Prussia without red contacts and with clearly black hair under pirate hat (WAAAH).

Third question: If I'm going with cravat Prussia, where should I put the iron cross (that I actually own, so that's not a big deal)? I know that traditionally it's worn on the left? side of the uniform, so I could sew it on there, or just wear it around my neck.

I will post some pictures once I get the red silk for the coat and start sewing the trim. But do you think it's okay to deviate a bit from (sketchy) canon when it comes to the uniform?
