Hi guys! I'm new to the comm, though I've been lurking for awhile. AND I NEED SOME HELP LIKE WHOAAAAAA.
I'm going to Anime Boston and at the last minute, I'm putting together a Prussia cosplay. I have a jacket that's (not long enough but will have to do) and I'm going with old-type longcoat Prussia, not newer Prussia.
First question: Does anyone have a wig I could borrow/rent/buy from them? Ideally I could get it at the convention, since it's next week. Otherwise, I'm going to hide myfail! hair under my hat. But if you would be willing to mail it, that could work too. PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU DO.
Second question: Pants colors? Is gold trim on the jacket really necessary? Would you laugh to see someonefailing cosplaying Prussia without red contacts and with clearly black hair under pirate hat (WAAAH).
Third question: If I'm going with cravat Prussia, where should I put the iron cross (that I actually own, so that's not a big deal)? I know that traditionally it's worn on the left? side of the uniform, so I could sew it on there, or just wear it around my neck.
I will post some pictures once I get the red silk for the coat and start sewing the trim. But do you think it's okay to deviate a bit from (sketchy) canon when it comes to the uniform?
