Weird (But Fun) Idea?

I hope I tagged this right. If not...mods please tell me. Argggh, I'm still new at this stuff.

Anyways.

Now, this is going to be weird, but just stay with me now, kay people? Kay.

So, I was roaming through youtube and saw this random video about cosplay. A cosplay project to be correct. It was about this girl from Singapore who cosplays and she started a project about cosplaying. She was going to buy a disposable camera and a scarf and send it off to someone from another country who also cosplays so that person could take a picture of themselves in that cosplay and then send it off to someone else in another country, so on and so forth.

How does this tie into Hetalia? Well...it gave me a great idea. Since, well...it DOES sound like a fun and great idea. At least I think so. I hope you guys do too...

Bear with me please. What I'm getting to is that maybe we should do this? As a whole community, as just...y'know, a world united kinda of thing? IDK. 

What I mean is, as Hetalia cosplayers, I would buy a disposable camera and whatever else I decide to send, take a picture of myself in a Hetalia cosplay and then send it on to the next person. Then they take a picture of themselves in cosplay, and send it to another person in a different country/state. Until, well...the photos run out or until a set deadline when the last person has to send it back to me so I can put the pictures up on...somewhere (here maybe?) and then show it off to you guys.

I thought it'd be a great way to help learn about the different cultures out there and just be warm and fuzzy with each other and unite as a community y'know? Doesn't that sound lovely? I think so...=3=

So what do you guys think? Should I do this? Should I not? Any suggestions?
Right now it's just a general idea and I'm still thinking it over. I'd like to know your thoughts!

Hetalia Day 2010 - San Francisco Bay Area

 So with Hetalia Day becoming closer and closer, I think one more post would be good.

So~  I see that many other Hetalia days have events planned and such.  Would you guys want to do so?  I mean, last year was really fun and I don't think we had a set schedule (correct me if I'm wrong) and we all just played around and such.  So if you guys want to, let me know!  Give suggestions too, please!

Anywhoo, I think it'd be great to have some things videotaped and such so we can all look at it later on.  Would anyone be willing to do so?  If so, please message me.   Same goes for photos/photoshoots.

So.. Basically everyone should pack food/bring money to buy food.  I'd love to pay for you guys but I'm a broke college student only working two days a week. ;-;  I was thinking we should all break for lunch around 1230 or so.

Also for bookkeeping and my curiousity (okay moreso the second one)  Who are you going as?  I'd like to keep a list. C:

Hetalia Day: Portland, Oregon

Where: Outside the Simon Benson House at PSU. (Corner of SW Montgomery St and SW Park Ave on the south park blocks.)

Cosplay is more than welcome, but not mandatory. There is the PSU Farmer's Market going on, as well as several cafes and restaurants that are nearby that are all open for lunch. Though since the Farmer's Market is going on, please observe not only the Hetalia Day Code of Conduct but any rules the Farmer's Market might have. Also, it's supposed to rain on Saturday, so come prepared!

There had seemed to be a state of calmness. Things were hard but they've always been a lot more difficult then this. Most countries were confident they could make it through the economic crisis. But this 'peaceful' time in the countries lives hadn't lasted long.

In 2012 they thought the mountains would bow to the sea, that the oceans would rise consuming large masses of land, and that the world would stand still killing anyone in her way. However everyone seemed to have seen the end wrong because 2012 isn't the end of the world, it's the beginning of a new era.

Empires that were at the peak of their golden years have seem to risen from the grave taking their place in the world. This time there is no escape for anyone. The strongest countries are taking over the weakest and there's no stopping them. Alliances have been broken and these once kind and misunderstood empires are now dark, corrupt, and most of them acting as if they want to take over the world.

Nobody knows what these empire's are planning. However smaller countries fear for their very lives. The abuse they suffer from the country's is excruciating. It doesn't matter who you are, the weak is a victim and the strongest are inflicting it.

Now there's only one last thing, who are you? Are you mighty and corrupt, or are you the weak countries in a painful state caused by the ones you have once called your family?

Hetalia Day (San Antonio, TX)

Hello all you San Antonians out there~ I don't believe there's been a formal post announcing the Hetalia Day for San Antonio, but correct me if I'm wrong =n=

Anyway, this year it will be held in the same place as it was last year, the field opposite from the Japanese Tea Gardens in Brackenridge Park. We'll be meeting from 2 PM until around 8 or so (until it gets dark). The date is October 24th obviously~

We encourage everyone to bring snacks, utensils, picnic blankets and such so everyone pitch in something. Cosplay is also encouraged but not required. The general rules for Hetalia Day posted on the Hetalia Day website will be enforced, so make sure you read over them.
