[Discussion] Blood Relations, Please?

This may seem like a stupid question, but it's been nagging at me for quite awhile. Could someone tell me who exactly is related by blood to whom? I see the word 'brother' and 'sister' used so loosely in many fics and in the comic/anime (I know the japanese use brother and sister as an endearing nickname for someone close), but I'd like to know who are actually related.

The ones I already know are: The Italian brothers and German brothers.

Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Edit: Thanks everyone for commenting! :D I've come to the conclusion that everyone is just as confused about this subject as I am. XD We can only hope Hidekaz clears this subject up in the future.

Or, well, not exactly.

What I'm wondering, because I had I brilliant and mildly weird idea, and it's in the middle of the night, and I got kind of caught up in it, IS: ... or wait, no. Not a question because I'm too tired to get my brain around that.

Example instead: Prussia obsesses over Frederick the Great, and then there's France and Jeanne d'Arc, and aha, I knew my mind would catch up: do any of the other nations have bosses or just someone of their people that they can't forget, or are really obsessed with, or have conflicted feelings about? Like Russia and the Romanovs.

Who do you think they are? It doesn't have to be one person, can be many, and it doesn't have too be a person that the nation has only positive memories of, right? Just someone they remember and can't forget about.

That being said, I can't help but feel that Sweden is a massive Gustav Adolf fanboy. Of course he is.

But what do you think?

Holiday card exchange?

Would anyone be interested in doing a Hetalia holiday card exchange? ^^ Someone could host it and everyone on the community who wants to participate will be added to a list. Then everyone PM's their addresses to the host, and then the host can PM the list of addresses to all the members on the list.

Hope that made sense, I'm so bad at explaining things >.<

They did this on a few forums I've been on, and it was pretty cool. I even thought of a kinda epic fanart to draw on my cards.. :D

Anybody remember the strip with the "made-up horror stories" about Germany, started by England and France?

Just curious if there's any factual basis for that one.
The strip says England and France apologized for lying after the war, but as far as my Google-fu took me, all the "horror stories" about Germany were true.
Is this just artistic/historical license, or is the Japanese school system actually teaching their kids this stuff and Himaruya's just repeating what he learned?

Anime Atlanta Day meet-up anyone?

Was just wondering if any of our southern hetalians were interested in meeting up for the Anime Day Atlanta. This is a very last minute set up but we're hoping everyone will be able to make it if they can!

Anime day is November 28th (9:30am - 4:30pm) at Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter NW (with FREE parking ;D!). It's only $3.00 at the door, but if you bring your AWA 2009 badge you only pay $1.00!

The con is actually pretty small, considered as more of an anime 'day' instead of a full con. Of course, there is a dealers room and market place as usual, so we are planning to meet up around the main registration area at 11:30am!

Again, sorry sorry for such a last minute request. I wasn't even sure we were on for an anime day this year, so bad on my part >^<" but if anyone can make it, we'd love to have you there~!

Well, I saw this one video from NicoNico (posted on YouTube) for a live action Hetalia cast, and while it was certainly fun and interesting to watch, I really didn't agree with most of the choices. After getting really incredibly bored, I came up with my own live action APH cast. I know, the chances of a live action Hetalia are about as slim as a toothpick covered in termites, but I just had fun coming up with this whole thing.

So~ I'm back to bother Australian Hetalians...again. Basically here to ask, would people be interested in a Christmas meeting? A notice about a month in advance...

It would probably be somewhere from the 20th to the 25th, although maybe towards the earlier side of that range, since if later shops might not be open at all, xD. The days are Sunday to Friday, in the first week of the school holidays (for those who are in high school). Time-wise, we'd probably start at about 11-12? And end...well, when we want to, really.

(Will probably have a picnic like last time at Hetalia Day...? Except more festive food and Christmas Carols? xDD;;;)

I suppose this could be considered discussion. It's more of an information request, but not a request for something, so I suppose it fits here? Will remove the post if not!

I'm not really a cosplayer, but it's something a friend of mine and I have been very cautiously dipping our toes into. I have a bit of a dream to one day cosplay as France circa the American Revolutionary War, but my friend recently passed on some news that may put a kink in this plan.

According to her, many of the venues (a venue being the place hosting an event/convention) in Japan (where I live), have banned Hetalia cosplay. The reasoning for this is because of the military uniforms, yet the ban seems to cover pretty much any and all Hetalia cosplay.

Has anyone else heard of this, or have any more information related to said ban? It seems quite strange to me, considering how popular the series is here, as well as the fact many other anime and manga have 'military uniforms'!

Hetalia stop motion animation video!

While working on my Photography degree today creating a stop motion animation, I decided to make a very silly stop motion animation of my Hetalia coin figurines. I have the bootleg ones so although some of the hair colours are a bit off, I do have all the characters that were made. This was done VERY quickly while my mum was out the house (i didn't want her asking why two male figurines were rolling around on the table togeth--, ah, I'll let you watch the video ;D), so it's not brilliant, but it is a silly bit of fun! =D!

Does feature pairings but I don't wanna say who cos it'll ruin the fun-ness of it all if you know before hand ^__^
