hetalia | Cosplay photos and a vid

Hey guys, I thought I'd share a few photos with you from the Birmingham NEC Memorabilia show yesterday. Sadly there weren't many Hetalia cosplayers, let alone general cosplayers, but we had a good time nonetheless! (And I dressed up as Ukraine, hurrah).

So we arrived at the NEC around 12ish, and instantly.... I knew I belonged. XD

...Hetalia meets the X-Files?!

There are a few more pics, including some of America and England, but I wasn't sure they'd want them up, so I thought I'd leave it for now. ^^

Also, me and a few of my friends have started a channel where we film ourselves doing parodies, cosplays, and general silliness. There are only two vids up so far, an intro and "Nice Kyiv" (if Russia can do it, so can Ukraine...) but more are on their way, including a food program with France and America. ;) Keep an eye out, most videos at the moment will probably be Hetalia based. :)

Yeah, it was an excellent day out! :D Will hopefully be going to London Expo next may, probably as Ukraine again. :)

XD Thank you. :P I made it myself. My fave animal years ago was the llama, and I love vintage things, so... well, this name and icon came about. :P

You make such an adorable Ukraine! And I love your jeans. I want a pair :O Judging from your photos, maybe it was more of a sci-fi thing than an anime thing? I've been to those before, and it's really hard to find other people in anime cosplays. D:

:D Aw, thank you very much. :) I used to have really long hair, but now I think my hairstyle better suits Ukraine. ;) And yeah, it was a general mix of stuff really, and although there were plenty of anime things around, the more generic nature meant that were few cosplayers.

And haha, yay, thank you! I love that meme, so I naturally had to do one! There's none of the Ukraine, RL or animated, so I thought I'd change that! The Russia one I saw was an animated one, I don't think there's a RL one? Or I just haven't found it. :P

OH goodness and I saw your dancing account thing! You guys are spectacular! That's always been the sort of thing I love to do, but.... my geeky friends don't dance, and my dancing friends don't do 'geek.'

I met one of them at a con, she thought I was cool and asked me if I knew Hare Hare Yukai, which I had JUST learned, so we met up again and she introduced me to the others -- she met them at anime club -- and we decided to do it for funsies. Turns out that we were pretty good. XD The rest is history. ^_^

Feel free to follow us! Once winter break hits, we should have some time to practice together and maybe put up a few new videos, if you're interested. ^_^;;;

Hurray! Well, I don't know what Hetalia dances there are, but you can bet that if there were, I'd push for it. If you've got any requests of dances you'd like to see, let us know! We can't guarantee we'll do it, but we'll look into it, or try at the very least! ^_^

Dancing on your own is NOT loserific, tons of people do it! Besides, it's fun, and a great way to stay in shape!

XD Ahahaha, fantastic! Cats fans seem to be few and far between these days, or at least FINDING cats fan is pretty damn difficult! There used to be a forum, but it died quite a few years back... Maybe it's just not an internet thing. :P

I've always been a fan, and rather an obsessive one a few years back! Mistofelees was my all time favourite, and I had his along with most of the other songs, memorised. Oh gosh, I just want to have some sort of Cats Marathon now. XD

Ah, this is true. It's so hard to find anyone who even knows what Cats is; it's a bit saddening.
I quite liked the LJ community for Cats, but I haven't checked it in forever as posts seemed few and far between - but they had beautiful icons and cosplays~

I've always been really obsessive as well; instead of bedtime stories I'd ask to watch Cats, hahaha.
I love Mistoffelees because he could disappear - watching the movie was so fascinating, as he was all glitter and sparkly and sing-along like.
[Though Mungojerrie and Rumpleteaser are an easy second in my list of favorites; their songs were catchy too~]

My family gets annoyed because I insisted we name our own cat after the characters and sometimes I break out into random Cats songs at time; I memorized all of them, including sheet music parts for piano.
