Of course I hope that mysterious girl and mysterious man are "the heart of Europe", I didn't wanted any more blond nations (too many blondes!) and I didn't wanted for Slovakia to be a girl (coz of Hungary).(btw:Czech is next to Germany,under Poland, above Austria.And Slovakia is right above Hungary, no, they aren't in eastern Europe at all, thank you)

Not many people do it nowadays but it is traditional and for example my grandma does it ocassionaly too - keeps her head and ears warm, you can see especially old women do it and more so in the country :)

That girl looks like Taiwan in European clothing...she doesn't have that curly strand of hair but other than that the hair is the same. but I could be wrong...

When I first saw the mysterious girl, I immediately thought about fem!Liet (come on, the expressions match a lot with the original Lithuania) but when I saw her dress... I got a bit disappointed. Lithuanian dresses are longer, same with the sleeves. (And if Hima draws fem!Liet someday, he will draw her along with fem!Poland and the other baltic girls.)
In the other side, I'm happy because... oh God, I waited forever to see a new character, and I need some Slovakia/Czech in my life.

The mysterious guy (I bet he's Bulgaria, like everybody says... but if the girl is Czech, i want him to be Slovakia.) looks like a mix of Hong Kong and Norway /Shot

I'm very curious about those two national costume sketches too. Even if they're just practice for the costumes, you'd wonder which countries' outfits they'd be...!

My first thought for the girl was definitely Czechia. It's the whole look of the dress. She could possibly be a Slovakia too, since there are some similarities in some traditional clothing between the two. But, the boy looks more of a Slovakia to me.

The boy's hair reminds me of a cross between Hong Kong and Noto (or alternatively the Ishikawa prefecture), while the girl (as others point out) takes after Lithuania a little. But the darker hair also gives her a "Noto" feeling. The two, if countries, do look like they could be related. We probably shouldn't get too far ahead in hoping, but if these would be Czechia and Slovakia, I'm curious which one Himaruya would view as the elder one.

He did once say that Czechia's name (in Japanese) had the feeling of a little girl, while Slovakia's name sounded masculine. And he did note once that he thought of a little girl and older guy. But we do know his plans can change! I'd also wonder how he'd view them, since his ideas of their characters and personalities may also come out differently than Europeans' own stereotypes (like the Italies, or Norway). I'm curious to see what he may have planned, in any case.

Hate to ruin the fun, but keep in mind, they could simply be models. I mean, if they are new characters, that's wonderful! Just don't get your hopes up yet.

(I just don't want a lot of drama like there was for that one pic that w-fen thought were new nations but actually just people Hima knew from said nations.)

I'm hoping to a ridiculous degree that it IS Czechia and Slovakia... For the sole reason that the girl really reminds me of that sketch from years ago, where Himaruya drew a little baby and hinted that it might have been a design for early Czechia. *_* In any case, she's quite cute- and I kind of doubt that he would have bothered to do her faces if she was just outfit practise, so I'll remain optimistic.
