It's less than a week to the start of the con, so I assumed it would be timely to make a post about it. So. Any peeps here planning on attending?

As far as I've picked up from Animexx, there are plans for Hetalia meets on Saturday and Sunday, near the Beethoven statue.

My friend (nyoo_nee) and I will be attending the con for all three days (though not buying tickets). As for cosplay, we'll be Finland and Sweden on Saturday, and I'll be cosplaying Germany on Sunday (alone, as she refuses to put on her Japan outfit ;A;). We'll have other friends there to show us around a bit, but if you run into two confused Finns there, feel free to say hi. XD Außerdem, wir beide sprechen ein bisschen Deutsch, aber sie müssen geduldig mit uns sein.

I'm not sure how large the German fanbase is on Livejournal, but if you're going to the con, please drop a comment (and maybe tell what your cosplaying plans are if you have any)!

Hi folks! Alcon is just a couple of months around the corner, and just my luck, I've only just dicovered it! Is anyone else going? Perhaps a Hetalia group or mini-meet could be put together! I'm not normally the sort to try to organzse gatherings *shivers* but I haven't seen anyone mention this yet and time is running out! I hope I'm not doing anything wrong with this <_<;;; So here goes nothing! *nervous*

Okay! Alcon in a nutshell:

Alcon is: An anime convention. ((Though hands up if, like me, you immediately thought 'Alfred convention!' ))
Location: Leicester university in England. ( Googlemap'd link for ya )
Date: Thurs 9th September  to Sunday 12th September.
Cost : £29 entry fee for the whole shindig.
Accomodation, if you need it: En-suite campus accommodation is available at £30 per night.
Attendance : It's a 700 people con, with 100 spaces left. If you want to go, you need to book before August 16th! Tick tock, tick tock!
Themed...? :  Errr... no..yes... Sort of. Chose your clan: pirates, ninjas, mechs or vampires. Appropriate cosplay, optional.
