So we've been learning about Spain's history in my Spanish class right now. That, along with looking at theMatador!Spain picture again and writing that one oneshot a long time ago (shameless plug orz feedback is appreciated) has given me the wild and crazy urge to write a fanfiction revolving around Spain's history. This would obviously include a few OCs (such as my Mexico-tan, NationCorp is already somewhat familiar with her haha...others I'm not sure about yet. Philippines maybe).

So, I have a few questions to the history buffs out there. I'm browsing wikipedia right now (not the most reliable source but...) but to be honest, some of it is kind of tl;dr. *shot* I know, that sounds really horrible. But anyway, I would appreciate it if someone could give me a few pointers on some of the very important events of Spanish history that would be essential to the story. I already have the Spanish Civil war and colonization of Mexico (and Italy) mapped out but early history (like when Rome occupied the area and later when the Muslims came to conquer much of it) and conquistador!Spain I'm still EXTREMELY iffy about. (If anyone can point me in the direction of any good conquistador!Spain fics, that would be fabulous)

So...yeah, any help would be very much appreciated. I'm going to have fun with pirate!England hee.

A friend and I are planning to go this weekend, but sadly we're not cosplaying. ):

Its really hard to find other hetalia fans in our area (although we tried converting lots of people to it XD;;)

Its is located at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas.
The dates are May 29th-31st, but me and my friend are only planing to go for the 29th and 30th.

If anyone is going, are there going to be any kind of special events for Hetalia like, everyone meeting, panels, etc.?

And if you are attending, we would love to meet you all!
