Sadly for my friends I was never that huggy in high school XD then I started cosplaying and everyone just hug each other constantly. Pfff. I doubt my high school friends would believe I could hug anyone these days.
I remember last year's was on the 18th. It'll probably be the week before Christmas actually comes just so it won't conflict with family plans on the actual day.
I was around a Prussia and America half the time at Animania. We also kept seeing this Denmark because their flag stuck out. And a fem!Romano also came too.
Oh that's cool then. It's a volunteer thing or something?
Oh wow! I saw the Denmark, he kept stopping to chat to a member of my group. I must have missed the fem!Romano, but like I said, I saw a few America and Prussia cosplays.
I kept wanting to see him, but everytime I did he was always on the other side of the con. The fem!Romano only did it for the second day, when most of us wasn't doing Hetalia cosplay XD I did get jumped by a few Prussias before I found the one I was looking for, so yeah there were a lot.
At least you've got a great view while volunteering.
He wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get a photo, but I did get to see him. =) Oh... I was only there the first day, that might have been why I didn't see fem!Romano... I know there was a Italy wondering around the first day. Lol, nice. xD
I always get carried away and never both to take photoes so I would have screwed the opportunity anyway XD I think I was outside too long by the gun and train stuff around the side. I didn't get to see the other Hetalia cosplayers that much.
I only bother with characters I know, and my camera isn't the best so they don't always turn out very good. =) Ah okay. Might have seen you then- we left early and had to go by.
Watch the people on the beach in case they get in trouble. Sit around because they don't. Play cricket/football on the slow days. And on rainy days watch t.v in the clubhouse. =)
I just have friends who are good at photo taking to do all that XD *lazy* I was around a lot of people wearing army uniforms, if you saw us. But only America and Prussia were Hetalia cosplayers (well and me, since I was doing Australia).
That sounds like a lot of fun when no one's in trouble that is.
Brilliant. My friends all had cameras too but I was the only one not cosplaying I spent a bit of time bag holding and photo taking. =) Hmm.. maybe not. I didn't see an Australia! =(
I notice that happens a lot. Non-cosplaying friend always gets stuck with phot-taking. And oh well, we were kind of trying to sneak around because the security people there kept complaining to everyone who was taking photoes outside. Such a pain.
That's a good thing then ^^ now all you need is a good camera for that. And I hope I'll see you cosplay at one of the meets if you start! It's expensive but fun.
I have no idea... they told us that we weren't allowed to take pictures outside. Yet we checked the rules and it said nothing about taking photos outside, as long as it wasn't blocking traffic. We even asked the organisers of the thing, and they told us that we could take pictures outside. The security was just being a bitch about things.
Don't worry, it took me months to save up for my costume. And now I just play the same nation over and over XD
They really were! The second I got there I heard the woman yelling "GET OFF THE ROAD" and I freaked because there was nowhere else to walk but on the road.
Haha, awesome. XD I'm still not sure which nation I want to do... but once I get a costume I doubt I'll play another!
I know right! I was there very early as I didn't have a ticket (and train timetables worked out like that) and they were already there screaming to get off the road. And then the confusion with the lines =S
Once you get into cosplaying, I'm sure you'll want to cosplay everything you see XD It's addictive that way.
I was with a friend who was cosplaying as someone in a wheelchair, and while she was sitting in it they actually yelled at her to get off the road. And we're wondering wtf was there problem. So she didn't need the wheelchair IRL but if she DID they would have been yelling at someone who was incapable of moving.
It does seem that way. Maybe for my wallet's sake I should steer clear. xD
...That's just stupid. I mean, it's likely they assumed that she was cosplaying because of the event but there's no way to be sure... Like I said- Very grumpy people.
Yeah, that's what we were more annoyed over. She rarely got out of the chair just to keep "in character" most of the time, so they wouldn't have even seen that she was capable of walking. They didn't even bother to come ask us if she was just sitting in it for cosplay or not, they just assumed she could.
Also we may want to continue this in the new thread. If we max this one out with comments it'll eventually stop letting us post here.

You do that! And if you can make it I'll get to see you =D

I'll see what I can do! Hopefully nothing is happening for me then so I can make it.

I've noticed that! It's amusing to me because the person I hang with who cosplays hates being hugged... and gets hugged.
That's great then. I'm always on the beach for Christmas Day

I'm usually always just here for Christmas, with a barbie in the back. But having no other plans makes it easy to turn up to meets.

I usually end up on patrol on Christmas, so that's actually fairly fun. I never seem to be able to make it to things.. something always comes up!

What do you work as? Must suck when work gets in the way of everything.

Oh, I've a part time job at Macca's. Horrible really. But I meant patrol as in Surf Club patrol on the beach. =)

Yup. And I get to go swimming.

What do you do on your patrols?

Really? Why? That seems a bit odd to me...

Weird. Yeah, they were just being a bit mean I think... they seemed very grumpy to me.
