I don't mean to sound sore, but didn't the rules say that you couldn't show merchandise ("No original anime or manga footage, sounds or imagery may be used." emphasis mine)? Some of those videos CLEARLY did. :/

it was no footage from the actual anime or manga. But merchandise was ok.

It's ok as long as they didn't show any parts of the episodes or comic strips from the manga.

So the artwork inside the book or box is not allowed, but the artwork on the outside of the book or box, done by the same person/people, and not the person who submitted the video, is? That seems a little strange, don't you think?

you could say that using merchandise is a bit of a loophole in the rules.(don't worry I'm bit confused as well)
