[q&a] Himaruya's letter to the Seiyuus

Hi! Forgive me for spamming. But!

I'm finally getting around to watching the seiyuu event and there was a part where China's seiyuu had read a letter from our HIMA-PAPA-SENSEI-SAMA. And I am dying to know what it says. It starts around 37:00 minutes, the letter reading. So-so, my question is, has the seiyuu event been summarized or translated somewhere? Or does anyone know if anyone is working on it?

Much obliged, thank you.

It sounds like he's saying something about how he can't believe it's already been 4 years since he started Hetalia -- a wonderful 4 years thanks to everyone -- and he's cheering the voice actors on. Especially France's. Especially especially France's. So very especially France's. (Or something like that.)

What's below my post is probably more accurate; my Japanese is extremely rusty.

ah France.... definetely the best of them... Italy too quite good too! Everyone!... but damn Onosaka takes France's character to a high level...specially where gag is concerned

Sadly, even though I've been studying Japanese for 12 years, my listening comprehension is a bit shaky and I'm not up to a task like subbing, particularly for such a long event, but I can give you a summary on that letter.

Konishi and Onosaka urge Kaida to try to read the letter in Himaruya's voice. Obviously she's never heard it, based on the strange result it produces.

Himaruya thanks everyone for coming to the event. Konishi warns Kaida that Himaruya will be angry if he watches the DVD and hears her making fun of his voice like that, so she changes to a more masculine voice.

He marvels that he's been working on Hetalia for four years already, and says that he was able to get this far because he had everyone's support. He's grateful that there was enough interest in his series for there to be a second event and hopes that everyone has fun watching it.

He also encourages everyone to enjoy the seiyuu talk [at this point, Kaida starts adlibbing], Onosaka's talk, Onosaka's mean talk, Onosaka's (something that I can't make out)... The others begin to catch on that she's not reading exactly what's written and Onosaka tells her to read it for real. Kaida insists that she has been reading it for real, before going back to what it actually says.

Himaruya hopes that everyone enjoys the seiyuu talk and the atmosphere of the theater.

And that's it. Pretty standard stuff.

He said "sensei no kowairo de" which means "in Sensei's voice". I was confused by that for a moment, too :)

Konishi says to read it like she's trying to be Himaruya. Onosaka clarifies by asking her to read it in Himaruya's voice. Konishi clarifies again by telling her to read it as if she were Himaruya. Onosaka says something about Himaruya living in the US, and the crowd cheers gor her to do her best... and she begins. I assume that's the part you meant?

Wait, so Hima's back over here? O_O Or he was at the time of the event...

Hmm... Onosaka did use the present tense, but who knows how closely he's keeping tabs on where Himaruya is. I wouldn't read too closely into it, personally.

On a random note, in a photo Himaruya posted on his blog there was an English sign XD So possibly? LOL.
