[News] Anime Director Bob Shirohata, Producer Mika Nomura to appear a Chicago's Anime Central

The Chicago-area anime convention Anime Central announced on Tuesday that it will host Bob Shirohata and Mika Nomura, the director and producer, respectively, of the television anime series Hetalia - Axis Powers. Anime Central will take place from May 20 to 22 in Rosemont, Illinois. The anime adapts Kaz Himaruya's manga series of the same name. Shirohata helmed Diamond Daydreams, Gravitation, and Let's Dance With Papa. Nomura produced the entire When They Cry anime franchise and Umineko no Naku Koro ni, as well as the current television series Steins;Gate.

Anime Central also announced that American voice actress Stephanie Sheh (K-ON!'s Yui, Naruto's Hinata) will return to the convention this year.

Saki is a singer and songwriter from Saitama. She’s studied and made music since the age of 4, composing music throughout junior high and high school. She’s done work with various commercials and made her musical debut in June 2006. Her most notable anime production works is the ending theme for Hetalia: Axis Powers, Marukaite Chikyuu.
