[SCANLATION] Britannia Angel

While I'm waiting for my translation of Hetare Chapter 3 to be edited, I went ahead and scanlated this strip myself. I love this one especially because it features England in an angel costume (HAHA POOR ARTHUR) and baby!Korea. Cuteness all around?

Note: Korea is probably trying to say "man-sae" which is like "yay" in Korean, but his baby voice makes it come out as "man-chae." (Thanks to

Um, so. Hopefully I'll post again with Ch. 3 sometime soon?

The truth I only translated 9 out of 13 of the strips so far before burning out and having a spasm of remembering "Oh I saved that Angel one too!".
And I'd be totally fine with not posting my version, but I already asked

konkira to edit in the scripts I have now. But I also only found out a couple hours ago that they never received my email... So with all that stuff happening, I'm not going to be posting for possibly another 1-2 days, but probably not any more than that.

I have no idea when mine's due out, since my editor's too busy to talk to me very often. Um. I don't really know what to do either, this is kind of awkward. XD Maybe I'll talk to my editor and see what comes up. I also sent mine to her already so um, LET THE EDITORS DEAL WITH IT. ~~I am responsible, see.~~

No. Chapter 4 is mostly a Liet chapter, and seeing that I'm sadly not a Liet person, I needed to refuel by reading Russia fics and novels before plunging in. Though maybe seeing how things are, maybe I'll just switch over and do Discovery of America/Fly Canada-san just to clear my head.

Well you did finish the script before I did, but I have no idea what's going on besides what's already posted in the comm. Maybe there should be some organization between scanlators or sth, because it's not efficient if two people do the same one by mistake! Er, I'll message

I don't mind doing 4. It has Liet and Poland in it, and I like them any time even if nobody else does /sob. Don't worry about it and just do those two, then? I love those strips! 8D

NO YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL LIKE CRAP. I FORBID IT. I kind of expected this to happen sooner or later anyway, with one strip or another, so it's really okay! (In fact, it already happened once, but I only had half-script for that part so it went underwater.) Canon doesn't really help with organization so it's pretty hard to do that. I mean, except the Timeline and Main Chapters, it has no order whatsoever.

Oh yay someone to lighten the load. The wings of freedom! Not that I don't feel bad for Liet, though. I like him fine, just not like him, you know?

I was thinking there could be some sort of claims post where someone could say they had finished so-and-so script of *insert Hetalia link here* so at least people KNOW.
It might be kind of hard to maintain though, blah. I would offer to do some sort of frequently-updated post it since I'm on LJ all the time even during school, but then I would feel like I'm intruding on

youkofujima's authority or something especially since I'm just a regular member/only in this fandom for the last few weeks sort of thing... *is ridiculously self-conscious*

I have a feeling she won't mind, it's a neat idea---just so everyone knows who's working on what, and the Reading Populace and use it as a Coming Soon teaser post to salivate on. Not sure though, I don't know her that well either, but she seems okay with these things from what I've seen.

I just sent my editor an email, we'll see if she answers or not. If she does---I can probably take a half day off tomorrow and help her edit, and maybe we can do a joint post---double WWII fun for everybody! or something like that!---how does that sound? This is in case she answers, though.

I'll ask about it, then! Can't hurt to, I guess... *is terrified nonetheless* :'D

Right, gotta email my editor too. If you want to do the rest of what I haven't translated yet then I wouldn't mind joint-posting at all? I haven't translated any of the notes yet either though, but I've already read them all and I didn't think it would take that long. If you want to insert yours then that's fine too, hahaha. We're both getting the credit anyway?

I was thinking more about providing two packages of the same content for people, actually. But hmm. I don't know, my script is all done (13 pages + notes) and it's only there waiting for edit?

I don't think it's all that necessary to have two versions out of the same strip, and since you were there first then we don't need mine anyway? I'd feel bad for my editor, but it wasn't even the whole section and they said it was easy anyway. Translating Hetalia isn't that difficult for me, especially considering my main translating job is for a seinen baseball manga.

Haha no, it's ok... I'm just glad I knew before I actually posted some. :'D I got a message back from my editor, sounds sorta disappointed (cleaned the bases?) but I think we'll both live?

I didn't EXPECT it to be my main translating job, but things happen. It's not very fun, but if I don't do it nobody else is which is kind of depressing. We just finished a big part of it though so I'm dawdling around in my Shiny New Hetalia Obsession.

Well, my editor also said it's okay since she's kind of too busy to do it in a timely manner? If you guys want to. And I'll send you whatever scripts you're missing that way, and she also says : wanna join forces? IF THIS ISN'T ME BEATING A DEAD HORSE I'LL BE DAMNED.

I know that feeling. XD I've done something like that before, actually, but I gradually lost interest (sorry, sorry, editors, I'm really sorry!) and kind of stopped. Glad they found a new one, though. Afterwards, I just don't really want to sign up for main jobs anymore.

I can see what you mean. It'd be quite a bit of trouble if you lose interest. I, um, have been there once, and it was not a pretty thing to behold. I'm lucky she forgave me after much pleading and begging.

Because I am insane, even after I was told that you were already doing chapter 3 I went ahead and scanlated the strips anyway. I had already done the cleaning part after all and inserting the text was a piece of cake. I've sent what I've done with

rainy_takako's script back to her for proofing - I could send you the link for the .rar too if you like. Anything you two want to add or want to change or not use at all is fine with me.

Also, I don't think I've ever deleted a .psd in my life *looks at the stack of external HD's bought to support her file hoarding ways*... so don't ever worry about that :DDD
