hetalia | [scanlation] Help Needed !

Hey there !

I'm natsu, the oyabun of a French Scanlation team~
We already translated some Micromacro's and Gunblue doujinshi in French, and there's some of those who aren't available in English, and since we are a bunch of friendly fujoshi, we would like to translate them in English.

And that's why I'm here !

We are currently working on those doujin :
- Micromacro - Je t'aime à Croquer (France x Spain) -> english translation done, need to be proofed and typeset needed
- Micromacro - Disce Gaudere (Roma jiichan x Itachan x uke!Germany) -> English translation is currently ongoing, will need proofreader + typeset
- Gunblue - Gem (France x Spain) -> French translation is currently ongoing

And more are coming from those two artists !

Concretely, we are looking for :

ONE English proofreader (option : someone who have some notions in French, to correct the English translation would be nice)
ONE Typesetter (have to know how to use Photoshop, since the PSD are ready, you only have to change the French text to the English one, notion in French would also be nice, to be sure to replace the good text)
(Japanese to English translator (we only have one Japanese translator, and she already have a lot of other projects in hands, so if someone have freetime and would like to help for only one doujin, we would be grateful !))

We are also looking for RAW providers for Gunblue's doujinshi :
Ninnananna (Spain x Romano) / Sick (France x Spain) / Un Secreto (Uk x Spain)

And Micromacro's doujinshi :
Friday After Noon (France x Spain) / Saitei na Futari (France x Spain)

I have Saitei na Futari and I was planning on scanning I just can't until mid-February because I don't have the best scanner at my appartment (while I'm at school).

Also I wouldn't mind trying for English proofreader. English is my main language but I'm bilingual so my French is pretty good

Yup, yup, we'll translate Gem in English too~ (I'm currently doing the french version... Well, I'm trying at last XD)

And yes, yes, it'd be nice if you don't mind scanning it !! It's always better to know the source of the scans than taking an uncredited one found on internet~

argh, i hate not having much spare time rn and having to do drive-by comments like this, but my friend and i already have quite a few of gunblue's books on our wip list.

he's already translated or is currently translating merienda, inmutabilidad, eins deux tres, and ninnaninna. and i have un secreto, le bonhuer, gem of her solo works that i was planning to give him, along with sick, bites a sugar bomb, and lagrimas of her collaboration books.

Since we're translating in French to begin with, and only doing English translation cause nobody seemed to be interested by her work~

oops. i knew about mon vecino, but i missed sick. o\ o\ o\ thanks for telling me. did you guys want to do the english version of gem, too? if so, i'll just get travis to translate something else of hers.

yeah, i'm doing most of these because -- well, other than just liking her stuff -- for february i planned to only release france/spain books (but with my limited time, i'll probably extend it to february-april). so between gunblue(+tekka g) and 89sion, they were gonna be the bulk of the releases, lol.

i got the older stuff (books that are sold-out and she doesn't sell through event or online store anymore) off yahoo!japan auction; with her newer stuff like un secreto, i got it through an event my friend attended where she picked me up a copy from her space.

Yup, I think that we'll do the English version of Gem, since we were planning on doing it along the French version~

Ha~ You're lucky, I tried to buy some of her stuff from y!jp auction, but I was always penniless or too late (I just lost "Ninnananna" on an auction recently... ACK)

I know that it's probably too much asking this, but, would you mind if we use your scans or translation later for French versions ? We're trying to get more of the Micromacro's doujinshi with Gunblue in French, but yeah, Gunblue are harder to find~

yeah, i was lucky because someone was selling a few of them i still needed for a decent buy-it-now price (i think around 400y), so i just snagged them.

ahh, i'd rather not have my scans reused/edited, even if it is in another language, but i can ask travis about using his script. or if you want, i can give you the pages i gave him to translate from. they're pretty rough at times (not all sized the same, sharpened, edges/portions cropped down that weren't exactly relevant and would just create a bigger filesize*, etc), but yeah, all the stuff you'd need for the actual script would be there.

Ah~ I see. Well, it would be better if we could use your scans (since we can make ourselves the translation from Japanese), but if you don't want to let someone else work on them, I totally understand :)

I guess I'll just have to wait to get the chance to buy them and scans :D
