Countries and bosses

Or, well, not exactly.

What I'm wondering, because I had I brilliant and mildly weird idea, and it's in the middle of the night, and I got kind of caught up in it, IS: ... or wait, no. Not a question because I'm too tired to get my brain around that.

Example instead: Prussia obsesses over Frederick the Great, and then there's France and Jeanne d'Arc, and aha, I knew my mind would catch up: do any of the other nations have bosses or just someone of their people that they can't forget, or are really obsessed with, or have conflicted feelings about? Like Russia and the Romanovs.

Who do you think they are? It doesn't have to be one person, can be many, and it doesn't have too be a person that the nation has only positive memories of, right? Just someone they remember and can't forget about.

That being said, I can't help but feel that Sweden is a massive Gustav Adolf fanboy. Of course he is.

But what do you think?

Not A boss, but surely, /surely/ Alfred would have adored the Wright Brothers? And Thomas Edison, for that matter...

And who could also forget Amelia Earhart? First woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. I imagine America having quite the crush on her.. And was probably devastated at her going missing.

For England, you can't really forget a more recent royalty, which would be Princess Diana. Being a Brit, we absolutely adored her (she had a reputation for being known as the 'people's princess' compared to what the Queen is like, she was very hands on and involved with the public, which we all adored) and the country went into pretty bad grief when she died. I mean, I have been told by some non-brits about how weird it was to see us openly crying, so I assume that Arthur did at /least/ cry at Diana dying and had very strong feelings for her. He probably has quiet the attatchment to any of his monarchy, I'd imagine. (I always thought that he called the Queen 'Mum', for some reason. ft. xD)

Ooooh, And Margo Thatcher. Milk Snatcher. Whatever your preference of name. Arthur would have had QUITE the few thoughts and what have you with her. :P

I could imagine most of the countries(at least the european ones + America and Canada) going into grief after princess' Diana's death, she was well known and loved all over the world
