Question; answers, please?

Hello!

I just discovered this fandom today, and I've been going through this comm. This has led to some questions.

First of all, is there a guide for a newcomer to the fandom? Keeping track of everything and knowing where to start and what to read is difficult, and I'd love to have something to refer back to every time I want to write fic, or share this with a friend.

Second, are there any english fanfics anyone here would highly recommend? I can't read Japanese, sadly, but I would like to read some fanfics for this fandom.

My timing is perfect, rofl.

To know what to read, go into tags and select scanlations. If you read the major chapters in order and then go for all the side comics, you'll be okay. I had the same problem when I first started and was too dumb to realize that that's all I had to do, rofl~

As for the fanfics, it depends on what rating you want. You can check out the fanfics here--they're all really good!--or hit up hetalia_kink, which is the Hetalia kink meme. There's something for everyone there, and soooo many of the fics are just amazing. =) (Also there may or may not be an underscore in that journal title, I can't remember haha).

This fanfic (http://community.livejournal.com/hetalia/243401.html) by derogatory is AMAZING, if you can deal with something rather sad. I especially like it because it's amazingly well researched, and the author incorporated a lot of really beautiful, tragic metaphors for different historical events... *-*

as for the second one, I'm not much of a fanfic reader, but I do read sometimes. There are several that have caught my attention and I mention them (with links) at my journal. Just go HERE (http://sapphire-pyro.livejournal.com/tag/fan+fiction) then just check out the hetalia related ones (those entries with titles beginning with "Hetalia Fever/Talk") xD
