Cosplay question/ worry

I am currently going to be cosplaying as China (uniform version) for a anime con that's about a year away. What my main concern is...Will I offend people, especially those who are ethnically chinese outside of the anime con in my China cosplay? The only time I'll be leaving the convention is to the next door mall to pick up food/ a drink and going to and from the hotel to the convention center.

Have any of you who've cosplayed as a hetalia character or even uniformed China had any negative problems from the non-convention public? I don't mind changing if it could possibly be a problem, it's just an annoyance to change back after returning from the errand.

Sorry if my grammar is really really off. It's super late and my brain isn't functioning at the moment.

I believe these people (not just chinese people) have probably seen a colorful variety of cosplayers. Keep in mind people dress as the Millennium Organization from Hellsing and they're Nazis. So you should be pretty low key considering.

I want to cosplay as Russia so badly~ I am so short though X_X; 5'7'' at best lol

I'll be cosplaying Russia and I'm five foot five. I'm looking into getting platform boots.

It also helps that my girlfriend is about five feet tall and wants to play Lithuania ;) ;) ;).

THIS MEANS NOTHING. My Cold War Russia is 5'3 ish and a whole total of like 5 and a half pounds. 8D I throw her over my shoulder and walk around (which usually results in fangirl screams of ultimate joy). She's one of the more recognized Russias in the north Texas area.

It doesn't matter who you're cosplaying just so long as you own the character!
