Hey gaiz! First-time poster, long-time lurker here.

Today on November 9th it has been exactly 19 years since Gilbert kicked down the Berlin Wall in his usual awesome fashion and moved in with Ludwig again. I will use this date as an excuse for the abnormally high amount of Prussia in the following fanart batch.

Summary: five fanarts from the last two-ish weeks





Prussia may be older, but he manages to be obnoxious immature awesome no matter the era. (yes, that is hair dye. xD)




No fanart post is complete without a Russia tribute, so here he is. ♥

This is really random and not worth a long-winded explanation, but maybe somebody here enjoys Prussia/Germany wearing ridiculous clothes. (Edit: Okay, if you DO want a long-winded explanation, go here. ;-))




The initial "married couple" and some of their many children, inspired by Germania's profile turning up on Kitayume last week. ROME HAS HIM SO WHIPPED, HAHAHA.

Also - and I hope I haven't stepped on anybody's plans with this - I badly translated track #5 of the recently released drama CD, starring the Axis plus UK and France. It can be found here~.

So I've commented on most of these before but everything I loved about them before I still love now and HOMG TIMELESS IMMATURE PRUSSIA TAUNTING IS LOVE. He goes through so many image changes and yet always manages to look so hip. Well played, Prussia. XD

I think you should give the long-winded Sandmännchen explanation, or at least link to something about it. Cultural history is just as informative as the political kind (and hilarious to boot).

You know what else makes great Hetalia fodder other than political/cultural anecdotes? Economy. Just now I heard the most awesome story behind the great power blackout of doom in Europe a few years ago: Germany was over-zealous with work and renewable energy, Holland and Austria messed stuff up when they tried to repair the damage and France sat in the dark as a result. This shit writes itself! xD

Actually Legolas was a promiscuous sod, since he also managed to spawn Sweden, Denmark, Finland (probably Iceland following that pattern), and England. METHINKS HE LIKED TO GET AROUND A LOT.

I adore you now. Your art is so amazingly seamless...but I have to agree with everybody else, Rome and Germania are gorgeous together. I wish I knew more about the latter of the two...he's so pretty. (I thought he was a girl. o_o *shot*) But all the kids look rather in-character...little Italia is like "Hiii~ 8D" *squee* X3

Germania is not Germany per se, he's Holy Roman Empire's (among others) "father", much like Rome is South and North Italy's father. The Baby is HRE (you're right, should have made the eyebrows less prominent)

HRE, as you said, later became Germany. Historically, HRE didn't have much power even before it was officially disbanded, that's probably why the character remains a child and then vanishes in the comics ("breaks his body in a period of long battles"). The grown-up Germany probably shows up again around 1871... that's when Prussia decided to make a German Empire out of all those little states.

And don't worry, I had a hard time figuring out that stuff out, too. o__0
