[Cosplay Help?] I'm going to AMA in June and...

Yeah, this is my first post. *fails*

Okay, so I'm going to Anime Mid-Atlantic in June with my bff. I'm gonna be Lithuania, she's going as Russia. Does anyone have any tips on Russia's uniform? Or Liet's, even? I'm willing to buy or have someone custom make it, since my sewing skills are utter FAIL. :'D

Here are some details, in case anyone is wondering...

Lisa (me) = 5'3", shoulder-length wavy brown hair, hazel eyes, age 16.

Jasmine (my bff) = 5'7", is going to wear wig, blue-green eyes, age 15.

So yeah, help on Russia jacket, plz? And if anyone knows where I can get a good Lithuania cosplay, that'd be much appreciated. I've got my eye on one already. It's the most beautiful color and it's like $77.00 so I'm like *ecstatic flail* because my other cosplays are usually around $100.00. If they get cheaper, by all means, post 'em!

This is the Lithuania uniform I'm look into buying. Tell me if it's a scam or not, based on experience or whatever. I wanna know if I'll get my uni or not. D:

And if anyone has any tips for getting the frizz our of thick wavy hair, that'd be much loved. I'm gonna try out a few products sometime this week, such as John Frieda's Frizz-Ease 100% Shine Glassing Mist and maybe I'll try some Biosilk Silk Therapy.

OH! Is anyone else going to AMA? Or maybe Nekocon later this year in November? I, like, NEVER find any online friends who I can meet at cons. It's really rare, honestly. =( These cons are in Hampton, Virginia, so I hafta drive five to six hours to get there. XD;; I'll be there all three days for AMA, but I'm not sure about Nekocon, since that's during school.

I can only give ya a few tips! ^^;
But:

-the site selling lithuania's uniform is legit. A friend of mine bought from there and she was happy with her purchase. :3

- and for your hair, a flat iron will help you with your waves and frizz!

A way to help get your hair straight is to make sure you use smoothing/straightening shampoo and conditioners, then section off your hair with pins or clips. Blow dry with a round brush (like they would when you're getting your hair styled professionally) working from the bottom layers of your hair to the top. Then flat iron with a smoothing spray. :>

I have really thick and wavy/curly brown hair and this works out really well for me whenever I have 45 minutes to do my hair, lol.

Another thing you could do is go to a cheap-o hair cut place like Great Clips, show them the picture, and tell them that's how you want your hair styled. :) Shouldn't be too expensive.

lol, I went to Cost Cutters last June for a Lavi (D.Gray-Man) haircut and they pretty much did a "decent" job, but not right for my tastes. =P I'll be sure to go to Regis, they are far more experienced, IMHO. I've heard of Great Clips, but that's too far away for me to drive for a simple hair appointment. lol.

But AMA is in June, so maybe I'm just overly paranoid about my Liet hair...? *worrywart*

As for cosplay, the liet costume looks pretty good and, as zombee said, is completely legit. :] Only thing is the material it's made out of... looks a little iffy. That may just be me, though. xD

...I honestly don't care about the material. I've been in worse. I was stuck in a thick leather D.Gray-Man uniform for hours upon hours in a hot convention center in November last year, I think I can handle this sort of uniform. XD

And I just got the John Frieda Frizz-Ease 100% Shine Glossing Mist. It's a miracle in a bottle. I didn't even use the shampoo yet! *A*
