He tried to write to other countries wanting attention
but held back thinking he was no prize himself.
He was too shy so neighbors thought "He souhld be happy to be left alone."

Grownig up
When he became good at fishery and able to do business,
England and Denmark started to fight for Iceland.
Once it was quieten down, he was to be taken by African pirates.
He started to think "It's much better to be alone. For older men, they are idiot, aren't they?"
