Hmmm... he indeed is a mix of american movie-hero and jock-stereotype. Which makes him look nicer than jocks in american movies. I think that's refreshing, sometimes I think moviemakers have odd grudges against jocks.....

Its true. We Americans do think Glasses are ugly u__u That's why everyone so desperately wishes to have contacts or even eye surgery. We don't really see glasses as cool or fetish-y! (Well, most of the time)

Also ahh house mouses!! He draws them even cuter than they already are ; w ;

I've never heard people call them ugly, but (as a glasses-wearer myself) I've had people I don't even know randomly ask me, "Hey, why don't you get contacts?"

When I first got into Hetalia, Alfred's design confused me because I thought the glasses made him look smart ("Americans aren't smart!").
Now I realize that they make him look cool and a bit dorky sometimes, which is perfect because that's what he is.

Maybe its because of the glasses and ahoge but Austria is starting to look more like America o.o (And I can definitely see Germany's face when Prussia is serious...but they are brothers after all ^^")

I never heard of people keeping tigers and crocodiles as pets o.o Pigs, yes. Various reptiles, yes. Crocodiles? No I wonder which states allow this o.o

West Virginia, Texas and South Carolina come to mind. I found a list of state laws regarding exotic pets here: http://www.bornfreeusa.org/b4a2_exotic_animals_summary.php

I haven't heard of anyone keeping crocodiles, but there've been numerous cases of people keeping alligators in their homes. Perhaps that's what Himaruya was referring to?

(It wouldn't surprise me if some people did keep crocodiles, however.)

I'm really liking some of the changes. I loved Italy either way, but added hotness is a bonus.
I also like America with a high school jock body. Great explanation. Also, as an American, I didn't like glasses on people when I was little, but as I got older, I've come to realize that many people actually look more attractive with glasses. America, for example!
