[Mod Post] A reminder, a few updates, and a brand new FAQ is on the way!

Yo! Me again with an update or two and a reminder, and something--not new, but redone!

I've had to remind people of the rules quite a few times now(luckily, I don't think I've had to tell anyone anything more than once,) so I'd like to remind everybody of the community rules located on the community profile! These are an important read, even if they're simple and some are a bit obvious. Reading the FAQ is not a substitute for reading the rules. In fact, the FAQ is out of date, and will be updated sometime this, or next, month(or, at least, we'll start working on it sometime within this timeframe, if I don't start working on it sometime today.)

I've contacted wiccat who informed me that the 300x300 preview images rule applies to all posts, including that of RP advertisements. My bad! Starting today, this will be enforced for all posts, even if you're just a little bit over(unless it's like, one or two pixels, I guess. Something miniscule could get away with it.)
Wiccat will also be contacting youkofujima next time she can to see if we can get the 300x300 preview image rule altered by 100 pixels each side, as I noticed the front page has no problem supporting 400x400 images. If this rule is changed, the list of rules will also be altered, and I will inform you all that you can have larger preview images. However, until then, it's still 300x300.

As I said before, the FAQ will be updated! The old FAQ can be found here, as I'll be removing the link from the sidebar shortly, until the new one is posted. THIS POST IS OUTDATED which is why I'm going to ask you guys to do me a big favor and tell me some things you've seen asked frequently, or have wondered regarding the community, the series, or the characters, or anything else you think I should put there. I'll answer them for you, and wiccat and moemoekyuun and I will review them before I make a new FAQ post and post them. Again, as a reminder, the rules=/=the FAQ, and should not be consulted in place of one another(however, I'll likely include some of the rules in the FAQ, just because I'm sure some people will disregard this, and I understand that a little bit.

New tags have been added, featuring all of the newest characters(including "-hesse", "-india", "-kugelmugel", and "-niko niko") and, because we didn't realize there wasn't one, a "=group: micronations" tag! You may begin using them whenever you're ready! The full taglist(that will now show all tags, as this entry will use the previously unused two, -niko niko and =group: micronations) can be found here!

There is a possibility we will change the preview image rule a little. However, the 300x300 rule applies to all preview images(including community or RP group advertisements.) I didn't realize it applied to RP group ones so, from now on, I'll be enforcing this.

As for FAQ, I can tell you the question I get the most on my formspring is "Will there be a new season of the anime?" XD

I also get asked "Who are the newest countries" now and then, but I assume that would change from time-to-time.

Also also got a handful of questions asking why Himaruya hasn't updated his blog/site in a long time. I remember there was a mention from someone here saying that he had gotten in trouble with Gentosha? But I've mostly been saying that he's just been really busy with various projects: Hetalia/Chibi-san Date serializations, volume 5, extra art for the Travel Books... I'm pretty sure he writes the scripts for the Interval drama CDs and the manga bonus drama CDs too. That's all speculation though. =x=;

Also been asked what kind of dog Hanatamago is (I don't know;;; )

It would! Apparently she'd insisted on it being 300x300, but we're gonna see if we can get it changed anyway, since it wouldn't hurt anybody or the layout. And, no problem! Actually, the character ones have been there a while, but I realized that LJ doens't let anyone see them before they're used. . .which makes no sense. So I had to announce and use them before they'd pop up. /o\

Will there be a new season of the anime?
We don't know. Or, I don't personally--I think everyone else pays more attention to it than I do, but I'm not sure DEEN's lost the rights to it yet? Or does that only work that way with dubbing the anime/translating the manga. . . . In any case, we don't know, but it doesn't seem very likely. If there will be one, they'd hear news about it on this comm.

Why hasn't Himaruya updated his blog/site lately?
Due to lack of updates from him, we don't actually know why. But it's presumably because he's so busy with things! He has lots of projects and such off of his site and even other manga he works on, so he has lots on his plate.
I don't quite remember the bit about Gentosha? D: I think I remember someone saying that they said he was losing fans because of lack of updates and they'd have him start updating again or something, if that's what you mean. But I have a bad memory, as usual.
But, yeah, we don't know and all we have is speculation. But he's probably okay.

What kind of dog is Hanatamago?
Himaruya's never said, actually. So she has no canonical species. ;3;

Oh, I also still get the "Is HRE actually Germany?" question now and then, so definitely keep that there.

You might want to add in that Luxembourg and Tonga made cameos recently, but haven't been shown in full (or something like that).

There's a Rumors and Misconceptions page on the Hetalia wiki that is pretty outdated. I'm gonna try and get off my ass this weekend and clean up/update it if that helps.
