Hetalia DS Game?

I checked Animate, not really expecting to see anything new at all, and then...

As far as I can tell with no stock art, it might just be the earlier game, but the platform's changed?

Either way~ Release date's set to March next year. The 2100 yen difference between the versions has me hoping for new goods to be packed up with the limited one~ =w=

Has anybody else seen anything about this? It doesn't seem to be mentioned on the Gakuen Hetalia site or anything yet. But then, I'm not too great at Japanese, either, so I could be missing something obvious.

I kind of hoping for a battle game, but a lighthearted one, with food attacks. Or maybe Hetalia Fantasia for the DS?

There's some news floating it about it on Japanese forums and such~
But essentially a DS adventure game similar to the PSP version but now on DS. However, there are new elements/features in it.
Not sure if the whole thing will just be a reboot of the PSP version but on DS but with new features, we'll just have to wait to find out~ =w=
But I assume they'll be incoporating the touch screen capability to make things more interesting and the likes. It's not very common for PSP games to be rebooted onto the DS version, so it's certainly interesting!
As for limited features, no news on that yet...

xD It'll finally show up on hetalia.com, and we'll have half the comm thinking it's something new and completely forgetting it was already up on Animate this whole time.

xD I think even if it is the same, as far as gameplay, I might actually get it this time. My stupid PSP resets every day, so really DS is the only one I'd bother playing on...

Just be careful though! They started region locking some of the newer games, so you'll have to be careful that it doesn't happen to this @_@;;;

I remember posting the GEAnimation plushies ages ago. Then only a few weeks ago, someone saw them on Rightstuf, posted about them like they were something brand new, and nobody in the comments had heard of them before. xD

It's the 2100 yen difference that has me interested, really. They could fit so much bonus stuff in there. I mean. That's the difference between Regular and Animate versions, for the DVDs... Card, special booklet, art sleeve, two bonus CDs? Who knows.
As unlikely as they'll be (I mean, look at the new pillows set for late December), I'd really like to see goods with new art.
Those mini can badges were an amazing find back when they were the only items to have the art that's on them. Now? Not so much.

;n; Sad. That seems weird though. At this point, shouldn't "newer" games just be the 3DS stuff? But then, I haven't been following DS anything since Pokemon. The new-ish games for that apparently worked here, but that might not mean anything.
=w= Maybe we'll be lucky enough that when the cover art's out, it'll say if it's region-locked or not.

... You know. To be entirely honest. I've been falling out of the series as well. I mean, I'll still collect, too, because I'm so painfully close to being up to date, and some day, I still want to be... ~~And I may've just spent $62 on a custom item a couple days ago...~~ But if favourite characters aren't tagged, I don't even look at the anime or any manga or blog translations. Even people IMing me to talk about the series get ignored sometimes.

... But that doesn't change that it feels fun to be the first to get news up on the comm. so. xD

Oh god, them blog translations requests. They're just.... facepalm worthy most times. Cute, but at the same time, it doesn't take that long to check the lj community does it...? xD;;;;

I think there's a good chance that there will be new art with the limited edition ones! I mean, Himaruya has rereleased the chibi's in his new style and there's other art out there. Plus, 2012 release it would sort of be expected. Yet at the same time... companies can be rather lazy. Cross your fingers and hope!

I'm not quite sure since I haven't really bought any games for ages now xD;;; But my friends had been talking about how they wanted new games and some are region locked! (A quick google search is telling me that yes it should be region locked for 3DS games o8! Lets hope the DS games are just normal ones!)

Ahahaha, that's the same with me. I just have notifications for certain character tag updates and maybe once in a blue moon check on the blog/website/whatever. I still talk to my friends who talk about APH frequently, but it gets increasingly harder to understand what they're on about due to lack of updates xD;;;; Oh well

Well, it's Gakuen Hetalia, though. Himaruya hasn't coloured anything for that, that I know of. xD It's up to DEEN I guess.

I still check the comm every day, but, it's more because I'm not willing to put it on my watch list. xD Seeing that page filled with tons of community entries always feels so spammy, so, I just never set any comms to show up on it.

I don't really bother with my flist to be honest ahahaha. I just choose the tags I'm interested in and put it down for email notifications so it's easier to go through (imo) 8D;;

I wasn't sure if Japanese PSP games were region-free, so that first game always made me a little sad. But. =w= I definitely own and have played a Japanese DS game on a North American DS. Works perfectly. <3

No they won't. The American game company would need permission the Japanese company. Black rock shooter the game is a perfect example because Nippon ichi software America had a difficult time getting permission to brin it over here in English. As I told a friend of mine who also likes hetalia: don't count on it.

Which company has it? Animate's not telling me anything more than Gentosha comics and Hetalia project. ... And a price drop from 9334 yen to 2940 yen.
I tend to relate Hetalia to Frontier Works, but, that may only be the dvds.

Funimation's dubbed other games, so I wouldn't say that's a definite reason for it not to happen. If anything's going to really stop it, it's going to be whatever caused that massive drop in value.

well idea factory published the game, studio DEEN did the artwork, and the game was developed by Otomate. If all 3 companies don't give their permission then it won't be brought over and it's not profitable to any company to bring a game that they think will not sell. Funi would dub it and most likely not have the japanese dub. I don't Funi anymore because they did horrible dubs on my favorite animes (hetalia included) and I think they do not deserve my money. I'm also learning japanese right now so buying the game in english after already buying the game in japanese is pointless to me. Also i don't think they bring over the preorder bonuses u got by preordering the game in japanese. I thought it was worth getting the limited edition from amiami for around $100.

But nope. They don't ship internationally, either. The site's not really meant for anyone outside of Japan to be looking at in the first place.

If you want a completely English place to find it, though, I'd suggest stalking AmiAmi (http://www.amiami.jp/shop?set=english) for a while. They'll ship internationally, and they tend to put everything up at a discounted price, as well. ;u;
The only problem is they haven't posted anything about the DS game yet.

But it can't hurt, either, for all of us to wait until there's cover art, or at least something other than the title and platform, that's known. xD

I don't really mind that the game is in Japanese, I will just sit there consumed with lust over the winderfull voice acting even though I don't have clue what they say ^^;
HHNGF!! That's just unfair, why can't people outside Japan love their stuff?!!?
I'll start saving anyway and if I manage to lay my hands on it I shall educate this entire world about it!!
