Hetalia Day: New York City!

What: Hetalia Day in New York
Where: The Dairy at Central Park (if you went last year: same place)
When: Saturday, October 22, 2011; 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Who: You, if you're in the New York metro area! :D

CONTACT US!
No, seriously, contact us. Communication is key, and our coordinators post lots of informative messages. :D

Most of the information is on our Facebook group (the group is closed, so please comment here if you want to join. When you're in, you'll get more instructions on how to join the event. Sorry for all that, but the group is really large and we have like two people trying to keep track of everyone). If you don't have a Facebook, that's cool, because I've also cross-posted everything to our LJ at [livejournal.com profile] hetalia_nyc. We've also got a twitter, @HetaliaNYC, for reminders. It's just like any ol' gathering, but please read the FAQ before asking any questions! The answer might be waiting for you. ♥

And speaking of FAQs, yes, we will be following the Code of Conduct as posted on the main Hetalia Day site last year, with a few additions of our own (those are on the Facebook and NYC comm FAQ).

HOW TO ATTEND
We do ask that you also fill out the attendance survey so we can count you as coming and get a better handle on what you would like to see at Hetalia Day. And I know some people are worried about giving out the personal information we ask for, but it's just so we have a means to contact you (with appropriate messages about Hetalia Day, or just in case you get lost on the day we're all showing up), so please leave us at least one way to catch you!

FUNDRAISING
One last thing, since this is very important: we fundraise for UNICEF as part of our celebration! If you'd like to get involved, please reply to this post, and we'll have a more in-depth conversation privately. Anyway, last year, in just about three weeks, we were able to raise over $450 for needy children around the world! This year, we'd like to keep it going, and we're already off to a good start. As hosts of the United Nations itself, we New Yorkers are proud of our fundraising efforts. Won't you join us in this wonderful cause? :D

If you have any questions, just send an e-mail with the subject line "HEY, QUESTION!" to hetalia [dot] nyc [at] gmail [dot] com and we'll do our best to answer them right away.

This year is shaping up to be pretty cool, so I hope to see as many of you as possible in Central Park on Hetalia Day!
