As I'm sure many of you know, TokyoPop had their graverobbing garage sale about a month ago. And I, having the bad habit of buying something shiny and not wanting it later, picked up this:



It's big! It's shiny! It's going to end up in the back of my closet if I don't figure out what to do with it! And that's where you guys come in. I'm thinking about selling it but I wanted to gauge the interest. What would you guys pay for something like this? Should I put it up on ebay or sell it to the community? Or should I just save it and give it to my friend as a Christmas present?

Any and all input is appreciated, especially if it comes with pretty icons!

But in all seriousness, I really don't know. I'm kinda hoping people will make suggestions on how much it should go for :-/

The garage sale was in Los Angeles, at their corporate office on May 7th. They had sooooooooooo much random stuff! This was the only Hetalia thing I found, though, aside from a handful of stickers I grabbed.

Hmm. I can't be sure because I mostly collect Russia.. But..

I know if that had the Allies instead of the Axis I'd expect to pay at least $20 for it. So that might be about the same?

On the other hand, you did buy this, so at one point you wanted it. Which really gives you the best understanding of its worth. Just think of what you paid for it, the highest you would've paid for it, and start offers somewhere between?

If it were the Allies, I probably wouldn't be considering the selling option. On the other hand, I'd still be in the same, "What on earth am I going to do with this?" mindset so I might.

And funny thing about when I bought it: I had no idea what it was. It was folded up and wrapped in plastic so it looked like this:

All I knew was that it was Hetalia, made of fabric, and that it might be a pillowcase.

... or at least I really wanted it to be a pillow case...

ffff Yeah the American Hetalia merchandise has an annoying habit of just... Having the worst possible packaging.

Everything in Japan is all cute little boxes and tells you everything about the item. Over here, nope. Just stick it in a bag and staple on a label.

... A pillow case would've been awesome, though.

I'd probably ask your friend whether he/she would want it first. If things get to the selling point, though, considering that may be one of only a few of those (flags?) still floating around, the Axis, and the size, I'd expect to pay about $15-20, maybe $25 if it's in really good condition (not including shipping).

I'm fairly certain that that item was made as a limited addition promotion thing and only 100 exsist. I won one at a raffle at Otakon from their tokyopop van and that's what they said, the one you could have gotten might have been meant to be raffled off at a future con or something. But yeah, so I think it might be worth a bit more.

It coulda just been a marketing thing though and there might've been more made though so, **shrug**
