Hetalia Volume 3?

A quick question: As we all know, TokyoPop is going out of business, meaning Hetalia Volume 3 will not be released. I'm sure that others, like me, had placed a pre-order on the item on Amazon. Does anyone know if we'll be getting our money back?

I can't say for certain, but I'm sure Amazon has some kind of policy on that. Try going to their customer service or FAQ page to find out.

Amazon doesn't charge your credit card or debit your gift card until it ships the product. Pre-orders cost nothing until they send it to you. Has anyone received the dreaded "canceled your order because we can't get the item..." email yet?

Nope. And even more weirdly, they have actually continued to update vol 3's listings (over the last week a cover photo and product descrpition has been put up).

Oh my. That's very, very interesting in a good way. I hadn't checked the listing as I'm depressed enough as it is over the numerous other 'order canceled 'coz we can't get the (TP) product' mails I've gotten.

Maybe...... nah, too much to hope for, right?

Your money should not be "gone" if you pre-ordered through Amazon. Check your balances and you'll most likely see that any preliminary charge has disappeared, putting the money back in your bank account or on any gift card used to pay for the order; Amazon takes your money for keeps when an order is ready to ship, not when you pre-order. It's best to just cancel any order for Vol. 3 now and keep an eye on whatever means you were going to use to pay for it.

No one has announced that they will be picking it up yet, unfortunately.

A few days ago, I read a couple of comments on the TokyoPop FB page that Levy was not giving up any of the manga licenses he currently holds. Could just be rumor but haven't noticed anything denying that. If it's true - he's more of a jacka$$ than I originally thought he was.

I have a feeling if someone does pick it up, it won't be until after May 25th when we found out.

Amazon doesn't charge you until the item ships.

Amazon legally cannot charge until the item ships; you pre-ordered and put down zero dollars, pretty much.
