Who is this person? Is Himaruya?

Hello, how are you?

Well, recently viewing some files in my PC, I saw I have the Hetalia Animation Guide that was submitted by someone who took photographies of it, but not scanned (I don't remember who submitted it, I'm sorry >_<;  Here's the thread), the thing is that at the end appears an interview to Bob  Shirohata, and other people (Himaruya Hidekaz, Matsuda Keiichi, and a Takahashi... and I can't read the name, but is not Hiroki), the thing is that... who is the person in the photo?? The first one is Bob Shirohata... Is the second Himaruya? Or is Matsuda or Takahashi?






I'm wondering, because I have another photo I saw in Twitter some months ago, where Bob appears with Himaruya, but he's covering his face with this Italy poster O_O;;





(And the casuality is that Bob has the same shirt ^^; Possibly this photo is from this interview too)...

EDITED: This person is Keiichi Matsuda. The Italy poster represents Himaruya and the kitty-girl drawing is Takahashi Kimie.

Himaruya's a troll. This is sad because I deal with trolls on a daily basis in my line of work OTL

I know a lot of mangaka like to not show their faces in publications and what not. I know the mangakas behind Full Metal Alchemist and Rurouni Kenshin did that. xD;;

He's probably reading this right now, so...

This is the situation, it seems...

The Reason(s) why he haven't seen a pic of him yet (and probably never will for a very long time is b/c:

1.) Whatever rl friends he's had didn't know that he could draw/did draw.
I feel like his friends would recognize his style.
2.) Any fake/superficial friends or acquaintances (who would be willing to give his pic away) probably don't know his art enough to keep up with it.
Situation: "Huh? This guy, 'Himaruya' made this super famous comic! I wonder whose it is. Oh, hi, (-insert real name of Himaruya here-), don't you still do art too?"
Hima: "...Yes."
Fake friends would also not be into his comics, probably. Therefore, they wouldn't even care enough to show a picture.
3.) His real friends who probably HAVE read his comic in rl are trustworthy enough to not give his identification away. Or the thought never crossed their mind to do so anyway.
4.) He's like L from Death Note and have given us some obvious lead about him that we don't recognize because we'd say, "That's way too obvious to be true!" XD
5.) He's a troll and a tease.
That second pic is definitely him; it's totally something he would do...
6.) Judging by his actions so far and comparing him to other mangaka, we probably won't see a picture (if ever) unless he does one himself.
7.) The 'mystery' would be gone, and where's the fun in that? :D
8.) I (and others, I'm sure) personally don't want anymore death threats against one of my favorite authors... There is always a reason why some authors remain anonymous.
9.) He is just not comfortable enough to be judged by his looks from us... if some of us ship him with his charas/other people when we barely know what he looks like, would things gets even weirder when we actually do?...
10.) Even the people around me who do comics don't generally like to show their faces as something other than manipulated or otherwise cartoon-like. It's just how they see themselves-- as their characters/very connected to their characters, ya know?

Therefore, my conclusion is that he'll let us know who he is/what he looks like when HE'S good and ready, which may be never (and I will understand that). Maybe some lucky person with a photographic memory and epic realism skillz could win a "meet Himaruya" thing from Gentosha, and draw him for us. Buuuttt, again, I highly doubt this.

Er, my point is, I don't think that that's him XD; And even if the 'real' one shows up, he'd have to do some pretty daring stuff to prove he's the real deal!

The way I see it, Hiromu Arakawa draws herself as a cow with glasses.

This does not mean the great mangaka of FMA is a bespectacled bovine. X'D

Well, let's take this logically. The interview is between four people - two of them being Bob and Hima.

Therefore, on the first photo are meant to be four people - Bob, Hima behind the Italy poster, the other guy and a female part of the staff whose ava is supposed to be the cat. I remember seeing this cat in an other guide already, so...

Well, Himaruya-sensei did say that he based Estonia off of himself, not that he's an alias. So, he'd probably look like him.

My guess is that the first guy is obviously Bob Shirohata, the Italy poster is Himaruya-sensei, the other guy is Matsuda Keiichi (animation producer), and the cat-thing is Takahashi Kimie (planner).

Personally, I hope we never find out what he looks like or what his real name is. With Hetalia being as controversial as it is, it might be dangerous if the information got out. He could get death threats from crazed nationalists! DDDD:

I think the pictures at the top is really Himaruya, cause it makes sense that he's wear a white shirt and a black coat or something at the top picture which is same as the bottom one. You can sorta see it even if the top picture is quite blur.

So, just a thought I had, but when the disaster first hit Japan and no one had heard from Himaruya or anyone, I looked on People Finder, and there was a photo next to his name on People Finder. Was that a real photo of him? Because if it was, well, there's one, right?

No, this photo isn't real (neither the one I put here, sorry). It's from another mangaka (or musician, I cant really remember).
The one posted here is Matsuda Keiichi.
