[Officia Blog] Angels~

Never done this before but noticed no one posted anything about this yet. :T

Anyone want to translate?
http://himaruya.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-1029.html

He has two hyperlinks to news websites also if you want to check that out.

Google translate:
"I feel protected by an angel that one in three in the UK!
... to say something romantic.

55 percent of Americans are "guarded by angels" believe, research
It was a high degree of think America is more romantic.

The high rate of international news angel commanding lead in the way that Germany
Seriously angel angel dressed as a German or an angel making angels appointed for each event."

Translation by lilhowlet:

"Rendezvous with Angels
1 in 3 people from England feel that they are protected by a guardian angel!"
It's somehow a romantic thing to say...

According to research, 55% of Americans believe "I am protected by a guardian angel," which is probably because they are are amongst the most romantic.

Incidentally, the rate of international news about angels has Germany at the lead.
An angel is appointed for events, involving actual angels with Germans making angels or dressed-up as angels."

55 percent of Americans are "guarded by angels" believe

Britannia Angel? C:

(Also, when he mentions that part about Germany I have no idea what he's actually saying, but it makes me think of angel!Germany, which is... creepy.)

[identity profile] megumi-asakura.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
I think the first part says something like

"One of three persons in th UK feels protected by an angel... What a romantic thing to say...
55% of the people living in UK says that "Feels rtected by an angel" "

Well, that's all I understand X'D Sorry...

A quick translation (I find stuff like this cute 8D):

Rendezvous with Angels
1 in 3 people from England feel that they are protected by a guardian angel!
It's somehow a romantic thing to say...

According to research, 55% of Americans believe "I am protected by a guardian angel," which is probably because they are are amongst the most romantic.

Incidentally, the rate of international news about angels has Germany at the lead.
An angel is appointed for events, involving actual angels with Germans making angels or dressed-up as angels.

[identity profile] nakaisan.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
' involving actual angels with Germans making angels or dressed-up as angels.'

that. ._.

[identity profile] hotaru13.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
B'aww!! :D Thank you for translating!! So cute. America doesn't believe in fairies, but he does believe in angels?

[identity profile] plumora.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
And even more so than England, apparently. o_o

[identity profile] chulchinmae.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
I find it surprising that Germany is leading this for that reason. o_o Isn't Germany one of the countries in Europe that has one of the largest populations not really associated with any religion/Christian religion (France, I believe, is also one of the countries moving away from religion)? When East Germany still existed, it was controlled by Russia, and under the reign it pretty much didn't support the practice of Christianity and tended to agnostic views and such, so once the country unified, there was a huge population that didn't affiliate with a religion.

Although, still, the Christmas market is huge in Germany, as well as Christmas traditions and such, and with Namedays and such, so, I guess it's not that surprising that the country have a high percentage of people who believe in angels still.

[identity profile] lai-choi-san.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I do think so. The Christmas traditions are a well-known example of the Germans' creativity along with many things related to childhood (illustrated books, wooden figurines...).

[identity profile] mertseguer.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, Germany has the largest population of Europe so in numbers they have more or less the most of everything...

In percentages the European countries with the most people who declare themselves not associated with any religion are Estonia, Czech Republic and the Netherlands (76%, 64% & 55%)

For France it's 43% and for Germany only 25% (I was rather surprised by this, I expected Germany to be closer to his neighbours)

[identity profile] chulchinmae.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Strange! Maybe I read an old statistic, but it showed Germany having a lot of people who didn't affiliate with a religion... I guess I was wrong, but may that is population as a whole I was looking at and not the ratio to the actual country.

Thanks for the clarification!

[identity profile] toastbrooot.livejournal.com 2011-01-18 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends on where you live in Germany! In the south, read: Bavaria, there a lot of religious people (catholic, mostly) but in the northern parts of Germany, for example Lower-Saxony, where I live, there are not so many religious people (and they are protestant, mostly) and the number of religious people is going down, as far as I know. I know there are A LOT of young people leaving the church with 18, nowadays. I'm thinking about leaving myself. It's gotten kinda... well.. common to do that (at least in the north!)

[identity profile] plumora.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you!

Americans are amongst the most romantic? Whut?

[identity profile] sketchy333.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I think romantic is taken here as something like "idealistic" instead of "love" romantic. Also referring to the line about English people and them being romantic too: it's basically the same thing.

Um... well... like when you "romanticize" something, you're kinda glorifying it/making it look nicer than what it actually is.

I guess that could apply to Americans as the general population is very individualistic and we only see things through our own pair of eyes. So we only listen to others but never truly comprehending what we see

Long explanation is unnecessarily long. orz I'm so sorry! /sob/ Especially if you didn't need me to explain it this so thoroughly. "Romantic" happens to be one of my favorite words is all. ;~;

[identity profile] lilhowlet.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
This~ I stuck with translating it as romantic since Himaruya actually used the word "romantic" (ロマンチック) in the sentence, but it's the optimistic/beautify/glory type of romantic and not the lovey-dovey kind. :'D

[identity profile] plumora.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I get the double meaning of "romantic," but when I originally read it I immediately thought "lovey romantic." (And then proceeded to wonder which nations are the most love-romantic...) So yeah, idealistic-romantic makes sense for America. c:

"Romantic" is a nice word, isn't it. :3

[identity profile] tehd.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, dear! ♥

I don't know why, but the American one is really cute to me when I think in terms of Alfred...

Creepy things happen in my room and I simply shrug it off by thinking it's Britannia Angel being naughty =u=

If America feels that he's protected by Angel

[identity profile] chiisana00.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 10:51 am (UTC)(link)
We all know why =u=

He would be a hardcore angel X}

[identity profile] thenati.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww~ Britannia Angel *chuckles* So cute~

And America being romantic.... Huh...~ Oh well~ Americans do many movies after all~ =w=b

Ahhh~ Oh, Germany and angels~ Probably because of the Christmas Markets~ Well, at our Christmas Market, there's something called Engelspiel. Which basically means that people dressed up as angels appear at our Town malls' windows and balcony and start to sing and stuff. =7=
http://bavariaundercover.wordpress.com/2010/12/14/more-christmas-market-fun/ Eeep~<3
And we have many fairytales and children songs, of course, sooo... *shot*

Am I the only one who actually likes the thought of Germany being an angel? Pffft. *rolls in corner and sobs*

France and Italy always seem more angely to me....but that's the characters.
Maybe we'll get to see ALL the countries as angels?! That would be- I don't even have words to describe that.
