& yes, this was still in the NYAF convention center - we just ventured out a little haha. I'm not sure if we're allowed to be there at all, but hey no one stopped us ^^;

This last set was taken inside the con center, at night. Let me just say that this was definitely a I'm-not-a-fan-of-this-lighting-setup-but-let's-just-make-it-work-and-oooooh-lol-dramatic-light kind of photoshoot ^^;


(all the poses courtesy of the cosplayers, I'm pretty sure there's some backstory to them but as I have poor memory, just ask scribblefish and heavensealed ^^;)

*laughs* Yeah, I made the hat ridiculously small. I kept on thinking "wow, Hetalia makes garrison caps look really small" and despite making most of my uniform similar to what I researched, I made that hat dorkishly small. If I ever find this fabric again I'm going to try and make a larger/realistic version.

Naw man, the hat is great! He probably draws strength from it. Call me a rebel, but I think you could go tinier. Or make several versions, each tinier than the last, so he can bust them out like stacking dolls.

*wibble* OMG. You three again. You guys are amazing together, seriously. I still remember that one set you posted with the Rev War theme and the casual theme in the park. :3 That was amazing, and so is this!

I love them all! Especially Alfred and his hand-NOT-YET-on-shoulder, America bandaging England up, England sleeping in America's jacket... <3 *bookmarks*

Scribblefish portrays America so well, alternately funny and lighthearted but at the same time having this level of maturity and caring that just comes out in every photo. You give him a sort of depth that's really difficult for most cosplayers in a photoshoot to achieve, and I'm just... wow.

Heavensealed looks absolutely fantastic as always, and carries England's pride and vulnerability so well. There's something so brilliantly human about the England in this shoot. Even in cosplays it's hard to not think about the Nations as drawings or words on paper, but you've made England come to life here and, like Scribblefish, have given your character emotions and quirks that make him so absoluely real to everyone.

And of course Kat- probably the most brilliant cosplay photographer I've come across. Even if you weren't a fan of that lighting setup it was amazing how you made it so dramatic, half in shadow and yet everything was so clear. You make the photos really seem like a snapshot of an instant so that the characters really come alive, and they don't just look like people posing for a photo. Your talent is amazing.

...OKAY I really did not intend for this to turn into a creepy praisefest but hey I can't help myself, this really floored me. The quality of the photos and the quality of the cosplay itself, for me, sets the standard for this fandom. Sorry if I came across as uber-creepy ;_; I really didn't mean to!

OMG I love this set!!
My fav shot is the one looks like both of you are squeezed in a box (looks like those fanarts from Pixiv, so cool!) Great cosplays both of you, and great photos! Very intense, yet .... hehehe XD
