Because I am too. And I know no Hetalia fans except for my middle schoolers. And it's sad. 本当に淋しいんですよ！

I don't know if I'm purposing a Hetalia Day or not...But how do you feel about some random Saizeriya in Tokyo? <- Cheap and semi-Italian

Yeah, I'm starting school in Harajuku next April. So I am saving money like crazy while I still have a salary (..I just pre-ordered a box of those one coin figures tho...SO CUTE, couldn't resist) SO one could say it's been a difficult journey.

Anyway, the only ppl that can meet in Tokyo for Hetalia day is 2. You and me. どうすればいいかな．．．

I wish my students knew Hetalia ^_^;;; I have one otaku student, but she's kind of a hikkikomori, so she's hard to get to class. Sooo yeah. boo >_<

Otaku students can be fun...but it gets kinda weird when one of them is writing out a UK/Japan doujin script in the middle of your English class. And the author is like 13...

Yeah, and then there are levels of Otaku. This poor girl, she really wants to learn English, but she has a hard time getting out of her house T_T Not to mention, we were starting to watch Avatar the last airbender together! >_<

well, pretty much the same thing that affects all hikkikomori: the pressure of society in Japan, coupled with some level of Agoraphobia. She's interested in studying abroad, and I hear that that fixes some hikkikomori, so I hope she can manage to get out the door enough to get her to that stage ^_^

also, she'll go to the anime in Nagoya on the train, so at least her otaku-ness gets her out too ^_^ She has her ups and downs apparently.

Aw, that's cool. I think that's one of the good effects of Hetalia. A lot of my kids want to live in Germany when they grow up lol

None of my students are true hikkikomori so I was just curious. Although some of them do avoid school due to bullying sometimes...(><) Preteens...

Ah man, the ijime. Yeah, that's something that really needs fixing in Japanese school ^_^;;; Even so, I kinda wish I got to teach at a real school. sometimes the private things gets a bit lonely.

I'm not sure if it's the Hetalia influence, but I know she really does want to learn English.

Have you ever taken night buses tho? They're like 4,000 to Tokyo one way.
I use night buses to go everywhere. And when I get to my destination I usually sleep in an internet cafe or a friend's floor <- charmed life

I love Kansai tho. I lived in Kyoto for a year and it was probably the best year ever. I just picked Tokyo 'cuz it seemed central but in actuality like everyone posting on this thread is somewhere else.

Hello everyone! I'm from the Philippines, and obviously a great fan of Hetalia! I was supposed to attend the celebration of Hetalia day here but my flight would be 2 days from now and I will be in Tokyo by Oct. 23 until 25. It was really difficult trying to look for a site which displays the sched in Tokyo, but I really want to go! XDD Though I don't really speak Japanese and I don't know anyone there as well. @A@ Please do tell me if you're pushing through though! I'd really want to go. As Feliciana Vargas. =))

Um yeah, but! Worse comes to worse I can just act as your random guide. We can go to Otome Road, Animate's main store etc.

If you like cosplay we can even try and locate the Animate Cosplay store (Because no one I know likes cosplay, so I have never gone. But I have secretly wanted to go!). Since there may only be three people you can cosplay or not ^^;

If we end up going to Ikebukuro there is even a cat cafe! <- If you like cats.
I'm guessing you won't have a cellphone so I'll try and create some easy map or something for you ><;)
My guess is that around noon on Sunday is a good time to meet.

Hmmm... How long is your mock test? I forgot how long it takes ^^;
I did the 2kyu test last Dec. I didn't use books, I played a lot of video games+ read a lot of manga...I think that's my recommended study method :D It's proven to work!
The test is still like a 1 month+ away! Plenty of time to cram!

I want to go to a Hetalia meet-up so bad! I`m really close to Nagoya, so getting to Tokyo`s a bit tough for me though. T_T The last time I was there was during Comiket! I`m also saving up to go back to the States for winter break, so I don`t see myself being able to make it until at least January. T_T Booooo. I really want to cosplay Spain again. Maybe we should start a facebook group or something to organize future meet-ups...

Yeah! I usually find them more in the 4,000-5,000 yen range, though. My trip to and from Comiket cost 8,800 total. Better than taking the train though.

I`m tempted to create a FB group if no one else does. It`d be worth it to meet more people! XD

It was pretty taihen, but I made it work! It was a lot of fun, and I was so happy to get the chance to cosplay again. ^^
