(Official Site) America + England Profiles Translated!

Or let's get reacquainted with THE TRUE HERO OF HETALIA and some guy who sees fairies.

Hope you enjoy them! I'm also working on Egypt and Monaco's profiles right now!

Please feel free to rescanlate them if you wish since my scanlation-fu is basic and sucky.
Thanks [livejournal.com profile] kaiyashe for rescanlating this for me. :3

lol. Well the slogan is 'You either love it or hate it' Half of the country hates it, the other half loves it.

...what did you have it with? It can taste lovely with cheese on toast. =)

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-28 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
So I've heard... *laughs wryly*

And I tried it with crackers, just the once. It was more than enough~~. ^^;;;

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-28 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohh its lovely with butter, crackers and cheese. Never ever use marmite on its own though, its not supposed to go alone... you didn't use it alone did you? XD

Also you spread it thinly, I've seen things where people spread stuff thickly in America (Don't know if thats where yuo are from, using it as an example) and I spread so thinly you barely have much on. xP

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-29 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Alone as in, just eating it straight without -anything- else? Or do you mean without butter/cheese/etc? Because if so...well, I just put it plain on a cracker. ^^;

I am American so the example does fit *grins*, but I didn't spread it too thickly. I never do when I try new things. <<;; Learned not to after my first experience with wasabi, which was...fun.

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-29 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I meant alone as in just spread with no butter with it. ^^; And it seems you did. Oops. That probably explains some of why you hated it so much.

Well thats good I guess XD You learnt from your mistake. :P

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-29 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oops indeed. Well~, maybe I'll try it again someday, with cheese this time... *laughs wryly*

And o~h yes. All it really takes is a big chunk of wasabi to teach you to be more careful with food. xDD

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-29 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol, its much better with cheese. Just spread a thin amount of butter/margarine on a cracker, then the marmite and then cut some cheese and place it on and voila!

LOL I don't think I dare try wasabi...

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
All right, I'll try that next time. n_n Thanks for the advice!

Ah, well - it's really not all that bad. xD Generally though, what you'd want to do is take ju~st a bit on a chopstick and mix it with a dish of soy sauce. That way you can get a bit of spice, but don't risk overdoing it - and if you want more, it's easier to deal with.

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 10:15 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome ^_^

Also if you mix marmite with cheese spread its gorgeous. Thin amount of marmite, decent amount of cheese spread. Best sammich ever. Though, I hear American's dont butter bread... so uh, I don't know if you want to add that or not. It's a foreign idea not to add it to me xD

Ohh, I see. =)
... What is wasabi anyway? -shot-

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. That's another thought. *grins* Might have to bookmark this page so I'll remember. xD

...Well, I'm not sure where you heard we don't butter bread, but we definitely do~. ^^;;; Definitely, definitely. Though now I'm getting curious...what country are you from? ^^

Oh gosh~. xDD I take it you don't have Japanese food much? If you've ever been to a sushi place though, it's that thick green paste they usually put on the side of your plate, and it's basically an unsweetened, super-intense form of horseradish. ^^;; Oh, and sometimes they put a dry, powdered form on snacks, too. Crackers or green peas mostly, and while it's not -quite- as bad as the fresh stuff, it's still pretty intense.

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-30 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, you're welcome ^.^

Ohh you do? Cos I asked a few of my american friends and they said they only buttered bread if it was toast but otherwise just spread whatever condiment on instead. I was like *pokes icon*

I'm from England ^_^ Country of the magic, thick brows and tsunderes. XD ... at least according to Himaruya.

Nope, I don't think I've ever eaten Japanese. I'm not a fan of fish as it kind of creeps me out. ^^;
Ohh, I see o.O Oh wow, sounds kind of... powerful.

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...I do, and so does everyone else I know. ^^;; Unless you're making a sandwich or something ...But then again, a lot of people at my school still like to butter it at least a bit if it's a hot sandwich. Maybe it's just those friends...? Or maybe people in certain parts of the US do it differently? I have no idea. xD

Btw, that is an awesome icon and I just might have to steal it. *coughs*

Ooh~, nice! xD I really like England~ (both the country and the...er...personified country *grins*). Though - it always makes me kinda sad when Hidekaz bashed England's scones... ;_; Went there when I was in high school, and they were s~o freaking good.

Ah, well, that would make it hard. So I guess you're not a fan of fish and chips then? (speaking of English stereotypes... <<;) Oh, it is, it really is. Have you had horseradish before? ^^;

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah thats what I mean. Butter on a sandwich =) ...hot sandwich? o.O you mean toast? It could be different areas do it differently...

Haha, go ahead if you want. I love that icon <3

Aww yeah. Scones are okay but I've got quite a sweet tooth so I prefer other food. They aren't bad though but compared to crumpets.... mmmm crumpets.

I don't like fish and ehhh, I LOVED Chips as a kid but as I've gotten older I don't really enjoy them as much. Though from the fish and chip shop (chippee) they are nicer. Though much worse for you. XD Tons of grease.

I don't like horseradish. I've never tried it but my dad has it and guh, the ingredients, smell etc. Nasty.

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Ah~, okay. ^^ Yeah, I don't know anyone who really puts butter on unless it's hot. And that could be if you use toast for the sandwich, or if you're using a sandwich press or grill. ^^ Which I usually do a couple times a week when I'm at school, because it really is good~.

Thank you~! ... *also, stealing this one too*

I've never actually had crumpets...what're they like? And I dunno...American scones might as well be rocks, so when I tried the ones in England, with lots of cream and jam...that was just amazing. n___n

I see~. Sounds like the food around here. *grin grin*

Mmkay then. *nods* Well, just so you know...the taste is much worse. =_=; And it's not even that the stuff is crazy spicy...well, not always anyway. xD The thing I dislike most is that it's really sour/bitter, too. *makes a face*

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
How odd. I couldn't imagine not having butter on bread. Heck, even buttered bread itself is nice to eat =)

LOL. Enjoy stealing all my icons xP

Maybe he tried the american scones and based the english ones on that? o.o
Crumpets are hard to describe, they are basically made from the same stuff as pancakes but they are a tiny bit rubbery (feel wise, not taste/smell) and they are really tasty and kind of airy, soft and really good. Dammit, now I want some crumpets. I had one for breakfast this morning with butter and marmite <3

Oh wow, dont' think I'll try that then. *scrunches nose up*

I wish I could go to America. I want to try the food.

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well, plain butter on bread, toasted or not, is always fine. ^^ Or with jam and the like. But yeah...don't really put any on if there's more than just other condiments.

So far I am~. xDDD

Mm, it could be. He used to live in New York City, didn't he...? *has no idea* Hm, that sounds really interesting, though I really can't imagine it. *laughs* Pancake material that's a bit rubbery and yet also airy and soft...yeah, I dunno. ^^; Well, 'least you had some recently, ne? *grins*

I wouldn't recommend it~. xD Ah, you should! Though...I really have no idea what "American food" would be. ^^;;; Everything seems like it's been stolen (very, very badly) from some other culture. Not that the food is bad, it's just...pretty inaccurate? And then the few things really can be associated with America (hamburgers? xD) are pretty much available anywhere...so again, no idea. lol

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
I think so. Somewhere like that at least. Lol well it looks like this
http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/1383338/2/istockphoto_1383338-toasted-english-crumpet-with-melting-butter-against-whiteon.jpg

I had some after replying to you. It made me hungry XD haha.

Ahh well I just mean the sort of portions and restaurants and stuff. Plus you have those weird sweets we don't have here. Though what I've tried so far of your sweets I didn't like any... except twinkies. They were really nice. But yeah, I want to go to a cheese fondue place in america =)

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I...am not quite sure what to think of that picture. o_o;; What is that on top of it...?

Oooh...well, the portions are pretty much insane. xD The other day I went to a place with my aunt's family, and for about eight and a half bucks I got soup, salad, garlic bread, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and broiled salmon. Couldn't even finish half of it. ^^;;; And now I'm hungry... *laughs wryly*

Weird sweets...like what? And oh god the twinkies. xD Here's a 'nice' American recipe...take twinkies, deep fry, and skewer on stick. *grins* Never tried it, but I've heard they're good (if you don't really care about your health). Cheese fondue...that stuff is great. *grins again* But... *blinks* Where are there fondue places...?

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
On top of it? You mean the holes or the butter?

Haha wow, that is quite the full plate. I heard the portions were big though, thats one reason I want to go. So I can stare and be like O.O woah!

Eww, I don't think I could deep fry them. Then again, deep frying is not really popular in England.

I'm not sure, I just know my friend who lives in Arizona goes out to a fondue restaurant a lot. She linked me to it but I've forgotten the name right now. =)

Weird sweets. Oh most of it. XD Most of your sweets we don't have.

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
...Are those holes and butter then? xD

It really was~. *laughs* Well, go for it! xDD

*laughs again* Yeah, the idea is pretty gross, isn't it? Ah, really? Didn't know that.

Oh...well I'm in the midwest, so that's not really an option anyway. I see~...I don't really think any of it's weird, but then I guess that makes sense. *grins* What kind of stuff do you have in England?

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Its got holes on the top because of air I think. =)

Haha I wish i could just go for it but no one I know wants to go to America. None like the country enough to want to visit ;.; I've asked everyone.

Ummm... cadbury sweets, galaxy, malteasers, crunchies, umm... tons of stuff. We are the best place for sweets.

[identity profile] saemir.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, okay~.

...Sadness. n_n;;;; America's really cool though! It isn't all failing economy and cars and...such. <<;;;;

Oh god, cadbury~<3 Love that stuff. I don't know from the other ones, though.

[identity profile] julesie-g.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... just no one wants to go with me from my family... and I don't want to ask my best friend... cos though we are best friends, I don't know if she'd like what I wanna do. XD

Yep, cadbury ftw. Its from England <3
