Otakon 2010 -Hetalia Pics-

Alright, so, I decided to go to Otakon 2010 VERY last minute. I told the story to several people I met at the con, so, since it was such a last minute decision I didn't exactly have any completed/ready costumes for the convention, but I brought my Navy!Norway costume just to wear around and "fit in" (cause I dislike walking around conventions without SOMETHING on) Anyway, I didn't take many pictures but the following are photos of my "adventure" and those of other Hetalia cosplayers who were all so lovely <3

So, after a 20 hour bus ride, I finally got to Otakon around 6pm, Friday. This was the first photo taken of me (right) with the Australia, along with two others, who picked me up from the bus station <3 Having never been to America before, I had to get such a touristy-looking shot like this from the epic view we had from the hotel room!

So, after that, I sat around a little just to relax because it was a very long bus ride I just had, but afterwards, I slipped into my Genderbend!Norway cosplay for the first day of the con. I couldn't get a badge because I had no American money yet, and to summarize it,  I just wandered around with my Iceland and New Zealand/Luxembourg/Denmark, had dinner with them, and by the end of the night the three of us proceeded to have a Nordic cuddle puddle in the hotel bed -Too bad there aren't pictures of that, haha.

OH, NOEZ, NOT MIKE MYERS!

Luxembourg drinking! Bad nation, bad D: <

By Saturday morning, my Iceland and I wandered over to the Bank of America to exchange my money. It was closed. It sucked. We spent hours walking around Baltimore looking for a place that would convert my Canadian dollars for America. Finally, we ended up at the airport, I got American money, but by the time I returned to the con area, I saw no point buying a badge anymore (it was about 6pm). I ended up missing the Hetalia photoshoot, which was alright, I let my Iceland go sell her fabulous arrrtsss in artist alley and I proceeded to wander around outside on my own. I was in cosplay, wearing the Navy!Norway outfit based off the new official art my Himaruya. Of course, since it wasn't complete yet, I wore white shorts instead of white pants.

Elevator party!  (Ice and I look so sweaty and tired, finally finding a place that would exchange currencies)

Making a sort-of perv face while Iceland was *cough*takingashower*cough*

...Thus, Norway goes to peek~

Norway is a ninja, and managed to sneak into Artist Alley for a good 2-3 hours Saturday night. He did this to bring his Iceland food and water. Oh, Icey... you got to take care of yourself! <3

Sunday morning rolled along, and I could feel the sad sink in me that it was the last day and I would have to say bye to many people I finally got to meet in person. A fellow hotel-mate's boyfriend lent me his con badge for a little while that morning too, so I got to wander around the con. I bought a few things in the Dealers room, said bye to some people and as 4pm rolled along, I got some shots of me, like the n00b tourist in America as I was, and got some pictures proving, "Yes! I went to Amurika!". I was on a bus back home by 5:30, and acquainted myself with same fellow con-goers in the same bus. Also, I decided to do "Genderbend!Norway" again on Sunday, but I really like my top for the Navy!Norway that I made, so.... nothing fabulous. Or Norway-like at all, but I didn't care. It was Sunday. XD

NOW ONTO PICTURES OF OTHER HETALIA COSPLAYERS WHO I CAUGHT <3
If you see yourself, please tell me!! Also, if anybody wants the full-sized photos of anything you see, email me/add me/message me: fjord.faerie@hotmail.com

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY THAT... I have never seen so many males cosplaying from Hetalia. It made me happy <3

Italy posing with the pizza I was bringing for Iceland

As a Canadian, this made me VERY happy to see! Mounties FTW <3

Ah, I see. I don't think I could handle a trip that long. And yeah, American traffic is shitty. XD

Sakura Con is in Seattle Washington, and my friend and I had to drive up from northern California to get there. Cool thing was, since it was so close to Canada we saw tons of cars from British Columbia, and our hotel had American and Canadian flags out front. :p At both conventions that I've been to I met people from Canada that came down just to go the cons. That's dedication. XD

Oh no! XD Did you have to drive up and through Sweden and down through Europe to get home?

Seattle Washington is on the west coast. Washington DC, the capital, is on the east coast. :)

Oh man, that's rough. I mean, going on a sight-seeing bus is one thing, but being on a bus, trying to get home, going through all those countries must have been pretty bad. XD Good way to see Europe though, I've only ever been to Denmark.

I wish. My grandfather was born in Denmark before WWII, and then he came here and met my grandmother, who was born in Canada. :) He took the whole family to Denmark to see his family in Copenhagen, but that was 15 years ago. It was a lot of fun though, I want to go back. My mom has been to Norway, too. Super jealous.

XD Nope, I'm not Canadian. The closest I've ever been to Canada has been Seattle. My gram was just born there, in Newfoundland, and then she came here to the States.

I have German blood too, but then, a lot of Americans do. :p And Norwegian, and English, Irish, French and Portugeuse.

I just remember Denmark being really flat, with some bumpy parts. We went to a castle and we could look across the sea at Sweden, which I thought was cool. All the canons were pointed at Sweden. XD
