[Update] Ancient City Con meet (Jacksonville, FL)
Alright, a friend and I are planning to attend Ancient City Con for our first year ever. Since my friend only has one cosplay, a Hetalia one (England), I shall be wearing one of my Hetalia cosplays (Canada) so she won't feel awkward. We also know a few other Hetalians who may be attending this con, sooooo why not try to have a little meet-up and maybe a photoshoot?
We went to the hotel a few days ago to do some recon! For fellow first-timers, the convention itself occurs on floor three of a building attached to the hotel. (I believe floors one and two of this building are the parking garage for the hotel.) However, we would be meeting up in the hotel itself, on floor two (the ballroom floor), in the area of mirrors right in front of the escalators to and from the lobby. (If we get kicked out of that area, though, we'll just move ourselves up to the third floor, and stick to staying by the escalators.)
This is getting too text-y, so I'll just shut up now and sum up the information.
After loitering around long enough to give anyone who comes time to show, we'll head into the actual con. We can fool around to our hearts content, and then, if anyone wants, we can try a bit of a photoshoot. The hotel has some great spots for taking photos both inside and outside. When we get hungry, we can head over to the Landing for lunch (or dinner?), unless anyone knows any better places nearby (maybe even in the hotel) we can eat at. Any other ideas you have of what we could do are greatly appreciated.
