Happy Canada Day!

What better excuse to eat a bunch of maple flavored things, take part in the country-wide festivities and, you know... dress as Mountie!Matthew and snap some photos~

Mountie!Canada Cosplay below the cut.



So, there's a photo studio in town that does old time photos. You go in street clothes and they dress you all up in period costume of your choice. One of the choices was early RCMP, and the temptation was too great.



Officer Williams, at your service <3



It's meant to be early RCMP (the uniform is a little different now) so I thought I'd slap on a little Dominion of Canada crest at the bottom.



...the photographer was really nice. She asked what the deal with the plush bear was, so I told her it was an inside joke between my friend and I ^_^

Happy Canada Day! I actually got up today all ready to make myself some celebratory pancakes and realized I did't have all of the ingredients! Total Canada D'eh fail XD

Hmmm... I'm not sure about the TP contest yet. I really don't know if I have a shot or not, there's a LOT of amazing cosplay out there.

Haha, I thought about telling her about it, but I thought that it'd be hard to explain that I'm wearing a wig, fake glasses and carrying a stuffed toy to attempt to resemble a personification of my country XD I just left it at "inside joke" ^_^

I love those photo things! There's one at Six Flags: Great America that I've done with my mom and my friend. One was Civil War, and the other was 1920s gangster >D
They're so much fun; too bad they cost so much now. :c

Oh... gangster sounds like a fun get up. Someone should hit one of these up and go as the Mafia Italy Bros. This particular studio wasn't too expensive, but I can see them running up the prices big time for a theme park. They are a load of fun though!
