[ Otakon 2010 ] Axis Powers Hetalia Photoshoot

Hello! I have a friend who doesn't use livejournal and happens to be putting together a Hetalia photoshoot for Otakon this year and she has asked me to relay her message here for you guys.

"We wanted to plan a photoshoot where we could have fans and cosplayers meet up, make new friends, and take pictures of all of your crazy antics. c:

Note: You do not have to be cosplaying Axis Powers Hetalia to join us. If you are simply a fan, or wish to hang out with people who are super awesome cosplayers, then PLEASE feel free to come along ^ 7 ^

Dates, Times, and Places

If you are indeed interested in joining us, please take note of the dates, times and places below c: If you have any questions, comments or concerns about these dates, times or places, please post them in the thread. These dates, times and places are currently subject to change. Please check the forum regularly, especially when the convention nears it's date. [I'll follow up with another post if the times change at all.]

The Date
The date will take place on, Saturday, July 31, 2010 which is the Saturday of the Convention. We decided that this is the main, and most busy day of the con, so we would probably be able to get more people to come. ^ 7 ^

The Time
The time will take place at 1:00pm sharp. This is a good time, because it is right after lunch and everyone should be registered and comfortable in the convention by this time. If this is a bad time, or there is conflict for you, please let me know. If enough people have troubles with this time, then it will change.

The Place
We are going to meet by the fountain and if this is inconvenient, then will move elsewhere.

Other Jazz ; Including Contact Information

If there is anything at the photoshoot that you wish to do, or see. Please post your ideas for games, activities or anything else you can think of on this thread. We'll see what we can do, and what we can't... but we'd really like all of your input ^ 7 ^

Just an FYI the Otakon sub-forum over on Cosplay.com has a running tab of all the photo-shoots including the planned Hetalia ones for both Friday and Saturday.

As for Saturday there is actually already one scheduled for 12:00PM at the indoor fountain.

You may run into a problem of getting in the way of an other shoot while you try to gather up everyone and move them elsewhere.

I honestly think it's a good thing we have multiple shoots planned since there are SO many Hetalians going this year, all those people in one place is a bad idea. Also it would help people with tight schedules who have other shoots to not be rushing from shoot to shoot.

Maybe the 12pm and 1pm could merge though? Make it a big 12:30 shoot or something? I've been on Cosplay.Com and the only shoots for Hetalia I've seen planned is the Beach shoot on Friday and the 2pm one in a different location on Saturday. Can I please have the link to the person planning the 12pm shoot? I think we could merge (Is Co-planner of this shoot OTL)

I completely agree with multiple shoots, (as big as the gatherings were last year I can only imagine how insane it'll be this year) I'd just suggest them being further apart.

If you check the big list of photoshoots the times you mentioned are actually reversed. It's 2pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday. The big list. (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=209054)

Which fountain, the inside one or the one down by the harbor? If you have a lot of people coming, the inside fountain tends to get crowded quickly, especially if there's another gathering near that time... orz

It was just decided that it is the fountain down by the harbour. Since I was there last year I was also worried about it being by the inside fountain.

Hello! I'm new to photoshoots and I had two quick questions. How long do shoots normally last and are we allowed to leave whenever we want?
I was just going to a DRRR!! photoshoot on Saturday until I saw this. So I'll have to try to squeeze them in somehow X)
