自分の絵は細身設定のキャラも太ましいことに定評があるので
ちょっと頑張ってみました。

そんな太ましいかなと思って昔のファイルひっくり返してたら

idk what it says, but that bit of "chinese" says demon spirit, or something along those lines.

...Uh oh. Himaruya's doing that thing to Gilbert again.

Dangit, Gil, you're wide again! And just after that picture around White Day where you were so lean! Did you let yourself go and chow down on as many pancakes as you could find? *shot*

O-of course, it's not like I disapprove of this development. Not one bit. @w@

There is a couple things to consider:

-That image back then was partly due because he was from the side and also slightly angled from the top. Himaruya's perspective looked kind of wonky, like, he was going for a certain kind and mixed two up.

-If he is getting a belly or even just more weight in general (no belly), he wouldn't have so many wrinkles going across his torso, except near the sides. His sides have no ripples to show fat development, and all his wrinkles go across his torso.

-Baggy clothes, 'nuff said.

Also, Himaruya looks like he is trying to get a feel for the different physiques of his characters again, judging from his drawings lately. His latest Hungary, to me, looks like she has two different breast sizes, lawl.

Yes, that's all quite true. I just like to pick on Gil that way because... well, it's a long and kind of stupid story. X'D Also, if you take away the jacket, he's a bit less broad. It's a bit odd how Himaruya seems to be waffling over his body type, though. He's not quite as broad as Germany yet, but he used to be a lot skinnier. And then there was that period of time where he seemed to be progressively broader in every new drawing...

I think he fluctuates a lot. xD First appearance, he was relatively thin (younger, then, eh?), but then he went to being broad, then thin again, now broad.

His sideburns also seem to reappear and disappear at random too, and not to mention his color scheme, ha ha.
