[Question] Mochimerica?

mm my first time posting to the community [heck, this is the first time i post anything in LJ >_>]

so... i've been wondering, really
we all know that mochimerica is like the one of the famous hetalia mascots [along with other nation mochis]

but i've never seen any pic of the mochi in himaruya's official blog/drawings [which sort of surprised me]
so does this mean that mochimerica is a fanmade character who went booming with APH fans?

if yes, who is the creator?

or is it just me being not so observant in spotting the mochis in himaruya's pics?

i need some enlightenment  o_o!!

ps: i'm sorry beforehand if this question has been asked before. m(_ _)m i did some research but most of the links i found direct me to the mochimochi doujin created by kaiten mokugyo previews/ download links instead >_>"

There's only one that I remember, and the original mochimerica made by him doesn't have Nantucket. It's like a little tag-on to one of the other strips where he says, "Look, Mochi America! Isn't it cute? It eats lettuce"

I'm pretty sure Mochimerica was made by Himayura-sensei on his blog randomly one day. It didn't have the nantucket (fans add that). He's also been officially drawn hanging off of a fishing line held by Seychelles. In that one it's like...a huge mochimerica. xDD

It's made by Himaruya himself, inspired by a fan-made facemark. ([∂]ω[∂])

As said by junsumi above. Mochiamerica was made by Himaruya out of inspiration when fans sent him mail of different character emoticons. And it doesn't have an ahoge BTW, a lot of fans confuse that.

Here's another official picture of Mochimerica.:) Though if you ask me, Himaruya-sensei should draw him more often.<3 He's too cute.
