Bad Touch Trio's name?

ummm....this is my first time being on live journal and i am hoping to make friends here (>~<)
Did Himaruya ever explain how the Bad Touch/Friends Trio title came from?
what's the historical ties between France, Prussia, and Spain?
Did they have a treaty/alliance against a country or agreed to help each other in war?
Srry, I just learned and did a quite intensive researched in WW1 for class, my hurts for highlighting too much, and small fonts..(T^T)

The three countries (kinda) joined together in the War of Austrian Succession for their own purposes, really, so there's the historical part. The "Bad Friends" thing came more from the personalities given to them as Spain is pedo-ish, France is a pervert, and Prussia is... Prussia. I HIGHTLY recommend reading the strips of you've only seen the anime (there's a LOT of strips) and the War of Austrian Succession is a really good one! (and welcome to the comm! ^_^)

Hmmm... I've read pretty much all the available ones in english and watched all the episode lol been a fangirl since 1-2 yrs now. I read the strip and I know that France and Spain where on the same side because Spain is his boss was France or sometthing...idk but I dont remember Prussia ever being der anyway...thanks

There was teh Austrian War of Succession and they also helped aid America in his rev war, but those are the only two things at the top of my head that I can think of where the three were together in something.

I'm pretty sure the name comes from the fandom.

Also there seems to be fanon going around said countries: France, Spain and Prussia, helped out America in his war of independence. Canonwise, they stood out in the War of Austrian Succession.

Anyways, Bad Touch Trio is their nickname that stuck whenever referring to them.

really i dont remember spain and prussia helping out in the american revolution...i thought it was france.....wtf i should know that then winning the student of the year in american hist..i fail >_< yea i thought it was the austrian sucession i just dont remember prussia being in it

Spain didn't really join the war until late in the game, though they did send weapons and supplies to the colonies before that. Prussia really wasn't involved. A Prussian named Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben helped train the army, but that's it.

To clear that up, yeah, Spain and Prussia helped in the American revolution. I forgot why and how though.. Prussia also helped. General Friedrich Von Steuben of Prussia trained the continental army through his drilling techniques, making them into real soldiers instead of farmers. And France provided uniforms and supplies along with tons of military support.

The Rev War would not have been won without Spain. Spain joined the War a year after France, and at France's tugging. Spanish gold paid for... well, 'a lot' (including getting some of the French over), and in the last stages of the war, Spainish victory over the English in the south (preventing English forces from retreating down to there (as France blocked off retreat to the sea) and preventing the forces on the continent from linking up with the forces in the Caribbean) was, well, basically necessary and very important. American history tends to focus on the first few years of the war, though- as in the end it was America, England, Netherlands/Holland/Dutch, Spain, and France fighting their wars (with HRE mercenaries included!) in everywhere from Gibraltar to India.

Prussia the country was not directly involved in the war so much as one Prussian man was, but that one Prussian man was a lichpin in turning the American troops in to... well, troops.

Basically, Friedrich Wilhelm Rudolf Gerhard August von Steuben and Bernardo de Gálvez y Madrid were very important men in the Rev War and played a part in America's victory. One also can't forget the Polish who helped, as well (...poor England, with only HRE for company). They just... well, Lafayette had a much bigger influence on our society ('Lafayette, we are here!'), and the French actually helped because they wanted American Independence. And, well, history tends focus on GEORGE WASHINGTON, made of radiation and all that.

...I'm sorry, I just have this ridiculous love for the Rev War. (Okay, but I did have to get von Steuben off of Wiki- I remembered how to spell Gálvez, but... ah well.)

I had always just assumed Bad Touch Trio got their name because they're all perverts/ 'bad touch' the (often younger) nations. (Esp. France and Spain with the Italia Bros. I would assume Prussia there because he had a hand (No pun intended) in Hungary's puberty/ Austria/ All the nations he conquered when at his peak.)

The Japanese fandom nicknamed them the 悪友トリオ which is basically where English fandom name came from. Originally it was Bad Friends Trio but Bad Touch became a popular variation.

the bad friends trio nickname was used by himaruya himself (whether he did this after raiding pixiv and seeing the name was becoming popular or the other way around, I don't know xD). In his blog, whenever he posts a picture, if you leave your cursor over the image you can see the title he named it with, and I remember seeing a pic with them named "akuyu" (the pronunciation of "悪友" meaning bad friends or evil friends)

Bad Touch trio is just a popular variant in the Western fandom because the three of them are pervs xD
