[QUESTION] Tween England

If you wanna bother, here's how I cam to this question:

While Christmas '09 was going on, I decided to check out one of Himauya's other comics. He made one for Barjona Bomber and I thought I'd take a look. There I found someone who looked exactly like England, and I'm like, "Whu?" Not because UK's in another comic--I mean, Noto and Yamato came to visit APH during Christmas of '07 remember? But because this UK doesn't even act like the UK we know. He's slightly airy and, if anything, more moe than tsundere.

So I go to check out the Characters and apparently his name is Hikone Kalom. So I instantly think it isn't him. Then one of our members say it's UK's tween name. So now I'm confuzzled.

BTW, his profile says the following (through Google):
Quiet boy somewhere in the magical atmosphere of understatement.
Omi valve tone is polite, how to Yaberunohachottotorokusai. Caro known. Natsui from that seen with the help of Atsuko.

Umm awfully frugal living in the same dormitory and Yamato.
Her family is not at all, some kind of fine living ...


So here's the question:

Is Hikone Kalom from Barjona Bomber an earlier version of UK? Or is UK? Or something else? I just wanna know if this character has any relation to the England character of APH at all. I'd really appreciate some light on the situation.

Even if it's based on, does that matter? Despite the thick eyebrows, the two of them are still different charas =/

And for an artist, it's not a surprise to look at his/her old work as reference and creating new chara? ;D

I haven't been into the other works of Himaruya yet, but one thing I'm sure of is that he's not UK.

If you look at Himaruya's work, there are chara does share same characteristic as the hetalia nations. Though I don't know which of them came first.

They simply look alike because it's Himaruya's style.

I guess so. Himaruya's style is pretty constant, and his human types don't really differ that much from each other. Still, knowing would be nice c:

If you look at a lot of his other characters, he likes to re-use personalities and looks a lot. c:
For example, Aizu Homare loves bunnies (he has one on his shoulder named Akabeko), can't cook, is tsuntsun(dere), has thrown a line of "baka"s at Yamato, etc.

Kalom is more like Latvia.
And from what I've seen, not yandere at all.
Just very derederederederederedere.

His relationship with Hoke Tsukomi is like Sealand & Latvia.

Kinda like how Seiji from Chibisan looks like Spain and Iceland's lovechild and the new character Crumb (Chibisan) looks like Greece and Iceland's lovechild.
