Confirmation of Petition

Apparently the rumors about a petition in Korea to cancel the Hetalia anime are true:

No plans to cancel it as of yet. Interestingly enough, there were never plans for Korea to be in the anime.

Yep! We are, as a matter of fact, keeping things in check. Thing is, at least I find these sort of posts cannot be stopped because that would fall into a certain sort of censorship.

We are, however, keeping them from exploding all over people's faces. As I said on a comment below, new posts on the matter will be closed, as there's already two vessels for talking it. What I can't do is tell people not to talk about it, as that would fall within the purview of impeding freedom of speech. Yes, in this specific subject, we're grinding grains in the rumor mill (and how!) but this would open the door for later on, where we would have to decide which subjects are pertinent or not to the community, which would then lead to controlling information... and you know what comes after that. Sorry if I can't provide. U_U We do our best but there are points where we have to let go for the greater good of the community. I hope this answers your question.

I personally appreciate that the mods didn't shut down the two posts right away (though I agree any more would be ridiculous), as it gave a few of us the chance to run around and help clear a few misconceptions/dig for references and direct people to them instead of having the rumours flash briefly without some follow-up debunking. I've seen a couple people at least have gotten a better sense of the thorny Korea/Japan issue from the perspectives of people involved. :)

I know lots of people have said this before, but your Doria icon is positively fabulous. I was so happy when I joined this comm and noticed so many Mother 3 fans. (´・ω・`)

...aaa! You're a Mother 3 fan too? Thank you so much for your comment. ^^
Yes, I love that game. I love the Magypsies too. They're my favorite secondary characters, specially Doria and Lydia.

..!! Lydia! Lydia definitely does not get enough love. Those are my two favorite Magypsies too.

Yeah, I love the whole Mother series. When the translation project was announced I immediately bookmarked the page and followed the progress everyday. XD
