Confirmation of Petition

Apparently the rumors about a petition in Korea to cancel the Hetalia anime are true:

No plans to cancel it as of yet. Interestingly enough, there were never plans for Korea to be in the anime.

Maybe someone should drop them a mail... I mean, really, as much as Hetalia is controversial, this makes it seem worse than it is and a Misinformed Public Outrage is not something anyone needs at this point. =_=

Unlike the West, there is far, far less motivation to debunk trivial garbage in East Asian controversy hearsay that could lead to genuine problems. And unlike the West, the far right-wing hasn't completely made a parody of themselves, and they still hold far too much clout on public opinion ('baa baa boycott boycott').

I just hope Himaruya has been hardened by his tenure overseas and just carries on as usual, even if some idiot/s somewhere decides to make this story bigger than it has any reason being.

Yeah, my biggest concern here is Himaruya - that's why I even got upset in the first place.
He's worked really hard for all of this :/

**and to be more clear I'm not even talking about the petition - just the fact that several people have called Hetalia and its fans racists and other rubbish like that.
